The apartment was spacious and wonderfully equipped, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The nearby supermarket had everything we needed, and we enjoyed preparing a lovely Friday night dinner. The house is right on the lake, with a beautiful seating area for coffee by the water. The apartment was very clean, with private parking in a quiet and high-quality setting that truly felt like home. Self check-in was smooth and convenient.

The owner of the property greeted us upon arrival and introduced the facilities. He kindly allowed us to wash our car dirty from muddy roads which was very much appreciated.

The town is quiet and almost deserted. Don't think you are going to get a cup of coffee anywhere around here until 10AM unless you brew it yourself.

The name of the location was a little off putting and could have been a better listing.... BUT it is exactly as it states! I really was holding my breath on this stay but it was Stunning. The apartment was something like where I would live. It had everything. The view of the bay was perfect.

Great place to start your trip to Westfjords. Great view and lots of room. Everything you need is in the kitchen. Recomend to vist hot pots near by. Small fee for great experiance.

Our son slept on the sofa-bed and commented that it wasn't particularly comfortable.

Stunning location, beautiful views and very peaceful. We had everything we needed. The house was very clean and warm and there was plenty of living space for 5 of us. Hólmavik was a good base for exploring the west fjords. We would certainly stay again. Would loved to have stayed longer!

Yes, as other reviews mention, the outlets are funky, but we found plenty of adapters, so it wasn’t a problem. Just wish we had spent more time there.

Everything! The location is exquisite. We watched whales surface in the bay from the dining room table. The space was so inviting and comfortable. All within walking distance: grocery, pool, town center, and a beautiful hour-ish hiking trail around the town.

The “apartment” sign under the parking sign was hidden by large rocks and we didn’t see it. We were not told ahead of time to go to the rear entrance. We were trying to open the lock box for the main house and couldn’t get in until I called the owner and he then told me we needed to use the rear entrance. The floor in the shower is soooo slippery especially when it’s soapy. It would be nice if the owner provided a non-slip rubber mat for use in the shower to prevent falls and possible injury. The electrical outlets are not the standard 2 prong type that we have found in all the other places we have stayed. Fortunately we found an extension cord that had 2 prong receptacles on it. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom to use the blow dryer. I had to take it into another room.

Beautiful view, spacious house, king sized bed, washer & dryer. Well equipped kitchen and nice dining area and patio area. Close to town. It was comfortable and would be a nice place to stay for several days.

No complaints, nice place.

Beautiful view, large and clean home. More modern than expected! For instance, the sectional couch pulls out for another large bed, and the bathroom floor is heated. Nearby grocery store. Seals and puffins are often in the bay and visible from the deck. This was one of our favorite stops in the west fjords.
