As others have said, it is bright at night time. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights from the garden but it was much brighter just outside the town.

Location was great. You can walk to the tomato farm and restaurant Mika. Close to the golden circle attractions and secret lagoon. The communication with the host was fantastic. Instantly responding to any queries and checked everything was ok. The property was stocked with everything you needed.

I think the only downside is that it's right next to a tomato farm which has incredibly bright lights on all throughout the night so you can't see the night sky at all. A short drive out from the town is enough to see the Northern lights, but don't expect to see them from the garden.

The place is warm and cosy. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the showers are excellent. The whole place was super clean and had everything we needed to cook meals in the kitchen. The sauna and hot tub were a great addition and we're easy enough to use. The owner was really helpful and responded to messages very quickly. We all really enjoyed our stay and kept commenting about how nice the accommodation was throughout.

An amazing, well equipped house on the golden circle route. Being able to walk to the tomato farm was a bonus. Communication with the owner was excellent. The photos don't do this lovely house justice, and we would certainly return for another visit.

The only small thing could be improved is the creaking sound from the wooden floor.

The house is perfect! Very spacious, has everything we need :) we stayed for four nights and loved it! We also loved the sauna! Location is perfect in the golden circle, and close to the secret lagoon, geyser, the National park, and supermarket :)

As we were two families meeting up, the bed configuration was slightly challenging. Needed a second double bed ideally. The stairs to the mezzanine are steep.

Well equipped, plenty of space and very comfortable. The hot tub and sauna were a bonus. The location worked very well for us. The host gave good tips and responded to questions quickly and clearly. We would happily stay here again.

What a beautiful house! Solveig, the host, was friendly and helpful. Everything was neat and clean. We were two very happy families, 4 adults and 2 children, and there was more than enough space for everyone. The house is well equipped and the jacuzzi and sauna were fantastic. Nice spot on the golden circle in the little village of Reykholt with its swimming pool, shop, restaurants, playgrounds, football pitches, greenhouses and more. Thank you!

A beautiful house in a great location, really handy for all the big hitters of the Golden Circle. As other reviewers have said, the house is much bigger and nicer than the photos would suggest.

Our stay was so positive and refreshing after our prior adventures in Akureyri and the Highlands that I can't think of anything I didn't like about this place. It was a real oasis for us, a place to relax and recharge.

We felt completely overwhelmed with how nice and how well-equipped this house is. The owner understates what a nice place it is in the property description. The house is spacious, clean, and comfortably decorated, and has high-end appliances and finishes, high quality without necessarily feeling like luxury or too much. The location is great too. It is right near all of the bucket-list attractions but far enough removed that one is not caught up in the bustle at all. Reykholt is central but not necessarily the main drag, it isn't all gummed up with people and tourist traps like Selfoss, Geysir, Fluthir, or Hveragerthi. The local greenhouse restaurant, Frithheimer, is amazing and it is a walk from this property. The owner is completely responsive and friendly. We wish that it had been available for more nights during our trip. Book as many nights here as you can! But don't let the secret out! :-D We used it as a jumping point for climbing Hekla and touring Seljalandsfoss. Also did a horse ride near Hella.
