It is a bit hot inside and noticed the cabin next to us has grasses grown on top of the roof. Wondering if it is to absorb the heat and cold.

The view is fantastic. You are in the middle of the grasses and flowers. Glacier and volcano in front of the hot tub (using glacier water)! Newly built cabin with new bathroom, furnitures and appliances. Everything is up to date. 360 views around the cabin. The best place to stay for my whole trip in Iceland and more cost effective than SHL hotels.

My only criticism would be that there were not enough pillows, there was one pillow for each adult and they were very thin.

The cabin was in a lovely setting with the perfect layout to accommodate our family of four adults.

It didn’t work so well for us as a family with two older teen boys. One had to sleep on the couch and there weren’t any sheets, etc… so he wasn’t the most comfortable. The large dining table was nice but it made for a bit of a cramped space. The bathroom while nice and modern, flooded from our showers because of the design.

This is a beautiful location - peaceful and good to see northern lights. The hot tub was fantastic. Love, love, love all the windows.

This is more a general Iceland thing but the showers here don’t have a ridge to hold the water in so the entire bathroom was wet. There was a push mop. I would rather not be mopping on vacation.

We loved the tranquil setting and the views from the deck and private hot tub. We were in the heart of the golden circle without the crowds. It was so unbelievably peaceful and comfortable.

The bathroom - there was no water pressure, and the water did smell of sulphur. The location is very remote - even though we loved that it made the northern lights better, you should know that there is no "town" nearby, everything is at least a 20 minute drive. However, we knew that going in.

The cabins are much nicer than it looks in the picture - very well-appointed and had a spacious feel. Huge windows made a big difference! The kitchen was tiny but well equipped except for the lack of a dishwasher - we could cook full meals there with no problems. The hosts were very responsive. The hot tub was fantastic! - especially when we saw northern lights while hanging out there!

We had anticipated that the weather may not be “kind” for the whole week, therefore decided to book a bigger cabin so we could be more comfortable should we not be able to get out and sightsee. It was an excellent move. The cabin was extremely comfortable, warm and cosy.
