Absolutely nothing. It was perfect.

The villa was seriously spectacular. It has super comfortable rooms, a beautiful bathroom and living space, with the added bonus of a full laundry room. Walking distance from town and a chance to meet and chat with the owner were unexpected bonuses. Definitely a must-go-to home.

Beautiful view if the mountains and harbor, very well remodeled and stylish modern Icelandic design inside. Host top notch responsive and helpful. The hight of our stay was the sauna with a glass window overlooking gorgeous pink sunset sky and the fyord.

Wonderful all around i would give 100 out of 10. You will find everything you need and the owner was extremely nice supportive and friendly. We got stuck in storm where we couldn’t go out anywhere that day. He invited us to some hot and cold spa nearby. He treated us like a family. One of the things we will never forget and wish we can thank you enough.

A spacious room with a great view, and a fantastic kitchen. There’s also a guitar with excellent tone. After a meal indoors, you can take a leisurely stroll around the small town, and it feels absolutely wonderful! The outdoor sauna is a must-try experience.

Hilmer (the host) was amazing! He even made us reservations at the hottest Sushi spot in Iceland. I would absolutely stay here again. We were able to get some laundry done and get a great night's sleep before we camped the next night. This was also the easiest place to access with the digital keypad.

No real complaint. A few hours need to be invested to complete the work on the house. Like in all places we've seen in Iceland, you cannot get a completely dark room.

Hilmir was really nice and had lots of good recommendations for what to do and where to eat. He was very responsive. The property is spacious and located close to the center of the town.

There's no way of locking the bathroom door, and in one of the bedrooms we can't shut the door. Also the water in the shower was a bit temperamental. But this are just technicalities really. The space is absolutely perfect.

It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. There's all of the amenities we can possibly need. The host was a delight as well, very nice, helpful and comprehensive. Heated floor in the main entrance, café machines and drying and washing machines also available. It was a really a modern house with a comfy outlook. Comfortable beds and big nice dining table. We loved it.

My recent stay at this villa was an absolute dream come true. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was captivated by the stunning view that stretched over the entire town. It was a sight that took my breath away, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and tranquility. The villa itself was a haven of luxury, with every corner exuding elegance and style. The cozy fireplace added a touch of warmth and comfort, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxation. The furniture was nothing short of luxurious, providing the utmost comfort and sophistication. If you're looking for a memorable getaway with a view that will leave you speechless, this villa is an absolute must-visit.

However, we were disappointed with the overall condition of the property, which did not match the description of a “Luxury Villa” on Booking. There were personal items left in the kitchen, including partially used food and medication, as well as a mess in several drawers. Additionally, the cleanliness was a concern; the villa was not as clean as we expected. The laundry room, where the washer and dryer are located, was in poor condition. While the owner did mention that the laundry room was still under construction, this information was only provided after I had already read the negative reviews, which was frustrating. The villa itself still appears to be under construction, and the bedrooms feel somewhat unfinished. There was a noticeable damp smell throughout the house, particularly in the bedrooms, which created an unpleasant atmosphere. There were also frequent fluctuations in the shower’s water temperature, ranging from cold to extremely hot; unfortunately, our child was burned, which was quite distressing. The synthetic bedding was not very comfortable, and one of the bedroom doors could not be shut properly. For a property advertised as “luxury,” these issues were quite surprising and disappointing. We rented what we believed would be a luxury villa, but it turned out to be more like an average apartment, similar to a typical Airbnb listing. Normally, we would have considered moving to a different accommodation, but it was peak season, and there were no suitable alternatives available. Overall, we feel quite disappointed and a bit misled. The villa does not meet the luxury standards described, and we believe the price should reflect its current condition and should be adjusted. At this moment we cannot recommend this “luxury” villa.

The location is nice and the views are great and beautiful. The landlord was friendly and approachable.
