The property is in a nice location with the view of the mountains on one side and the bay on the other. Offered a decent breakfast. Staff was nice.

Its an old property and it smells musty. The 2nd floor of the building, which is an attic, turned into rooms so the ceiling is slanting down in a steep angle. Makes half the room space unusable. Those rooms also have these slanted windows that doesn’t open so no fresh air either. It’s extremely claustrophobic. Beds and pillows were also not comfortable.

Beautiful, well-equipped bungalow with a comfortable bed, nice sitting area, and great location. The bungalows are near a small beach and just a short drive from downtown Borgarnes. We enjoyed our stay.

Nothing comes to mind--everything was fine during our stay.

It’s in a very quiet location. View from the room was spectacular!

Price is a little higher than expected.

Staff were very approachable and helpful. Access to the main building for dining, TV was appreciated. The ability to use the sauna and hot tub was great.

Location was outside of the community along a busy highway making it necessary to drive into town if you needed anything.

The hot tub was nice after a day of travel.

Small room, thin walls and noisy neighbors.

The location is good. Close to the city. The bed is comfortable. Instant coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are free, as is water. Sauna, hot tub and relaxation room. There is a lot of space in the room, even though mine was under the sloping roof.

Spartan room furnishings. The tap water comes from a spring and is not drinkable. The shower water smells strongly of rotten eggs.

    Property response:

Hi, The tap (cold) water is drinkable. Icelanders do, however, not drink the geothermal water :) Thank you for the feedback.

The location was lovely, amazing view of the fjord and hills. We had just about everything we needed and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was really clean.

It would have been good to have a couple of chairs for the veranda so we could sit outside and take in the view. Also a blind on the main door would have been welcome!

    The breakfast was fantastic.

The room was like an attic room & provided minimal amenities. We kept hitting our head on the ceiling. It needs a table in the bathroom or even some hooks to make it more user friendly.

Cabin was clean, bedding was comfortable, and mini kitchen was convenient. Access to the hot tub was a nice plus, and the location is well off the road so it is very quiet. I recommend you ask for a cabin with a water view. Breakfast was really excellent (many choices, all good). We would recommend this to others. Price was good for the area and location was a 5 minute drive from Borgarnes.

    All good!

We stayed in one of the bungalows near the sea. The place is a bit dated, but it’s still very comfortable, spacious, and has everything you need. The views of the mountains were beautiful, and there’s a hot tub available for guests, which was a nice bonus. The location is convenient — close to the city with easy access to gas stations and supermarkets. A great spot to relax and explore the area.

Lovely and calm scenery. We did love our two chalets, the jacuzzi and the very good beakfast. Check-in and check-out was uncomplicated which is good if you tour Iceland and change your accommodation almost every night. Close to Borganes with many restaurants for Dinner.
