It's definitely not a Guesthouse. That's misleading. The accommodation is in cabins, a complex of four separate rooms in each building. Other cabins take families - they looked a bit more spaceous. Our double room was very small, barely enough for the bed, a table and a chair. Walls are thin and you can hear snoring from next door.

The position was great. Some rooms face the lake with a lovely view. Our room faced a lava field. However, as it turned out, the Northern lights were playing on our night and the lava field was dark and so, better for viewing ! The breakfast, over the road in a different building was excellent, providing waffle pancakes as well as the usual range of savoury and sweet. and the view from the breakfast room over the lake was lovely. The room and private bathroom were very clean, beds were comfortable, heating was good. A shared space was available for cooking and eating in another building.

WiFi had trouble intermittently

Cute facility that reminded me of cabin back home in US. Great location on lake and right near the Dimmuborgir lava pillars. Easy ride around lake for other attractions and only a few kilometers from the "main" town of Myvatn with gas, grocery, and other supplies. Only a few kilometers from the Myvatn Nature Baths also. Room was small but adequate for one. Private shower and toilet always appreciated and shared kitchen facilities available. Bed was quite comfortable. WiFi was fairly good, had trouble last evening connecting. Buffet breakfast was excellent and varies with boiled eggs, cheese, meat, fruit, skyr and yogurt, and waffles.

Hearty, delicious breakfast​​ with a warm touch - felt like family. The highlight of our stay! I saw some online posts about local insects in Lake Myvatn before leaving. Bathroom had issues with water going away in showers, it was wet all the time. In overall the cottage and kitchen were a bit worn-off. Cottage is pretty small - we were 3 people (2 adults and 1 kid) so it was more or less OK but for 3 of 4 adults it would be challenging.

Great location next to the lake, in the lava field. Pretty nice breakfast with possibility to cook waffles. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed.

Unfortunately, it rained during our stay and temperatures were below 10°C. The heating in the cabin wasn’t working, and despite reporting it, no one addressed the issue. Although we’re not easily bothered, the night was quite uncomfortable. The cabin’s amenities were adequate but rather basic. I find the price of nearly €400 per night unjustified for this accommodation.

A beautiful resort located on the shore of lake Mývatn. Our cabin was right on the front row, offering a great view of the lake. The breakfast was fantastic, and the team was very friendly and helpful when assisting us with booking a whale safari.

The room was very small. There was not enough table space, no night table space on one side. The bathroom door was incredibly large and kept opening. Consequently impinging on the limited space in the bedroom.

The location and its proximity to things we planned to do was great. Shared kitchen was great. Hot, powerful shower was great.

We tried repeatedly to contact the property by both email and telephone, but to no avail until hours before arrival. The bathroom in one of the rooms was very musty, which was very unpleasant.

The rooms were clean and spacious enough. A self-service check-in was welcome as we arrived very late. The breakfast was good and the facilities were ok. The location, right on lake Mývatn, is very nice, well marked and easy to find. On site, there are kitchen facilities and a laundry room, all of which is very convenient.

The individual rooms were a little small, but did include two very comfortable chairs. (Too many hotel rooms only have one chair these days, meaning that one of a couple has to make do with sitting on a bed.)

The location is fabulous with the Myvatn Nature Baths and various volcanic features, including two craters to climb. The rooms were very clean and well furnished, if a little small. The buffet breakfast was copious and the dining room overlooking the Lake Myvatn was delightful.
