The only thing I would change is the bathroom being attached to the room, but it was very close, completely private, large and extremely clean. It would not prevent me from returning or recommending it!

Everything was wonderful - Inga was a wonderful hostess - so friendly and so enjoyable to talk with. The Guesthouse was easy to get to with an absolutely stunning view! There were several good restaurant options near by. The room was spacious, every area was clean and the bathroom was private despite not being attached to the room. The water got cold when we needed it and got super hot if we needed it. She provided shampoo and body wash which was an extra bonus as about half of our stays did not provide those things. Inga had all kinds of cookies and drinks and hot tea options in our room and then breakfast was a huge spread of deliciousness! She even had foil and plastic utensils for us to take breakfast leftovers with us. Inga went above and beyond and we cannot recommend Dynjandi enough!

Even if the experience of the stay was good I thought that compared to the other accommodation we had during our trip it was maybe somewhat too expensive in relation to the quality. Still, I must say that the hosting was excellent.

Our host Inga was incredibly friendly and shared many interesting things with us. We felt comfortable and welcome at all times. The guesthouse is charmingly decorated, and we didn’t miss a thing. Personally, I especially appreciated the high-quality toilet paper – that’s definitely not something you can take for granted when comparing with other hotels or guesthouses!

Accommodation has all you need for either a one stop during your ring road tour or for few nights. Is at a horse farm. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast limited but delicious. Private (detached) bathrooms are well looked after. Höfn is 5-10 minute drive for amenities. Plenty of dark areas nearby for Northern lights hunting.

The bed didn't quite suit me, but we were also stressed from the day's travel and were concerned about the next day's travel (as it was a long day ahead and when we arrived, some of the ring road was closed,) so that's likely on us. Also, the weather was a little rough, so we couldn't check out her horsies.

The Dynjandi Guesthouse was our only guesthouse stay during our time in Iceland. It was definitely different than any place we stayed during our time there Our room was large but comfortable. everything was spotless The bathrooms are down the hall and lockable for privacy. Breakfast was very nice. However, the star of the show was Inga, the host. She is remarkable and my wife and I could have listened to her speak for hours. She just has so much to offer in terms of living in Iceland, its culture and people. We were fortunate to have her all to ourselves at breakfast and we were hanging on every word. Also, she had travel sheets for each way on the ring road that describe things to do, and to-dos that are not in the guidebooks. A better host you will not find!

The room was not as big as in the pictures, having no seating area. So with the amount of luggage we had it was pretty tight.

Inga was a great host, providing us with helpful tips on what to do in the surrounding and preparing a really nice breakfast, particularly the Icelandic mini cakes. Through her we could also learn more details about what life actually looks like for an Icelander.

There was no place to relax other than in your room, ie no sitting area other than the dinning area.

Breakfast was basic, but good. You don’t have any choices. There was a nice Icelandic breakfast cake in a mug, boiled egg, cheese and cold meats, bread to toast, yogurt, coffee and juice.
