I booked this accommodation because it was the lowest price I could find in Akureyri. It's very central, and a nice place to stay. It's an old boarding school and has that vibe. I'm pretty happy with my stay.

I missed not having a kettle to heat water in my room, for tea. There is no complimentary coffee or tea, so be prepared to spend a lot of money on warm beverages on your trip, or bring your own kettle with you.

Hotels' good, check-in process is smooth, the staff are excellent. Hotel of this size shouldn't have shared bathrooms though.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Lots of storage space. Location was good. Somewhat close to downtown area.

The bathrooms!!! Showers were small and sparse (not enough for the amount of people there). There also was only two hooks outside the shower to place items, no shelves. The bathrooms were dirty and could have been cleaned more often.

Really great location near the town and very close to the fabulous swimming pool in Akureyri. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were clean and tidy, showers and bathroom at end of hall were modern and well-done. Plenty of parking on site.

Rooms had limited plugs, would have been an issue if we didn't have a extension box with us. There is no lift to the second floor, a real issue if you are older (like us) and have luggage to bring up to the room. In the evening strong smell of fish from the restaurant in the common areas. Most guests are with tours and tend to take up lots of room in the common areas.

    Clean and easy to access!

Reception can get a bit crammed when going in and out and no other noticeable entrances/exits.

    Practical and nice staff.

We had to walk uphill when arriving from the center.
