This is not guesthouse fault by any mean but there was some confused and disturbing guy who entered the kitchen as we were having coffee and our own breakfast at 5:30 am, opened the fridge and started yelling “who is eating my foods every day”. We were there for only a single night and were very surprised at that as we had our own food that we left in the fridge with our room number. We had No idea who was eating his food but he seemed convinced it was us eating his food for days even though we were there for 1 night.

The guesthouse is at unbeatable location in Borganes with clear instructions for check in and plenty of info for the area provided. Old house but very Clean and with everything needed. We had a 1 bride night stay in a tiny room but found it fine. Quiet. Great common spaces and good coffee. Amazing view. Would recommend and stay again.

Location couldn't be better - our sea view room was such a treat! Everything was very well kept, and it was fun to mingle with other travelers in the shared spaces, such as the kitchen.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. It’s a good hotel with everything needed for a comfortable visit. The location is also very good and beautiful.

we were there in July, and it never really got dark at night. The curtains did not fully close. Apart from that everything was wonderful

stunning location, right by the fjord. There's a terrace and a couple of deck chairs outside, from where you can enjoy the beautiful view. It's very quiet with very little traffic. Dinner at the restaurant is excellent, and it's beautifully decorated with antique skiing equipment and household items. Highly recommended if you plan to do a road trip along the ring road. Check-in and check-out are extremely uncomplicated, they will simply deposit the key for you if you arrive late.

The kitchen had everything we needed, allowing to cook more than just the basics. Complimentary coffee, tea, and cereals for breakfast were offered.

The room was very dark. One small roof window Was unaware of kitchen at all until following morning so we struggled to find a cup or glass to drink out of. There was just one shower and the toilet was in it for over a dozen people. I showed at the swimming baths and had to use the toilet at a cafe as just couldn’t get into it in the morning with so many people waiting

We could get in at 9pm. Had to travel after plane landed and it was late

No frig or breakfast, so we had to have a dry breakfast or eat at cafe next door. Personal preference - not a big deal.

There’s a washing machine but lack of English instructions. I used it though saw other two groups gave up trying to figure out how to use it.

Location is perfect, with amazing sea view. The lichen is fully equipped, shared bathroom and WCs are clean.

Lack of a secure WiFi connection.

On the shore, scenic, walking distance to restaurants and sights, quaint even though an older building. My room on main floor off the kitchen, so few stairs involved. Fully functioning kitchen supplied with basics.

Our room size was okay but due to design looked crammed as the ceiling above bed was very low.

Location is serene and walk behind the property makes it a nice relaxing evening. Rest facilities were good too.

Second bedroom had no window to open for airflow. Old building which is not a negative. You can hear people walking around, which was fine.

The property was wonderful. Right on the water! Wonderful dinner as well. They have a nice living area as well as well stocked kitchen if you bring your own food.

It was unclear both when we booked and after we arrived where to find the ‘shared kitchen’. Didn’t realize it would be in a separate building.

Not too convenient for cooking as there was no microwave/ oven. Apartment on 2nd level and need to carry up the 2 big luggage. Not too convenient for elderly.

The windows could use light blocking shades. The curtains were not up to blocking out the June midnight sun.

Our room was thoughtfully laid out and decorated. The view was gorgeous. We strolled down the beach, and ate dinner on the back deck looking over the little cove. Yes, the floors are noisy, but all our fellow guests were polite and we had no noise issues even with a full house. We appreciated the in-room coffee maker.

The room was small and sparse. The sulfur smell was pretty strong, especially when taking a shower but it didn’t bother us too much.

We booked this room only a few weeks out and it was one of the only places available in town.
