Location of the Hotel was excellent, just by the river and all around you can see steam going out of the earth! Clean and comfortable rooms. Polite and helpful personnel.

The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Unfortunatly, we arrived on a very rainy evening and the rain persisted through the following morning so we could do any walking around. If the weather would have been just a bit nicer (i.e. raining instead of a downpour) there is a lovely river and what looked like a nice hike that we would have loved to explore. We ate in town (not at the hotel) but it is convenietly located near several restaurants.

The shower was very small, and the room was quite warm without a way to cool it off that didn’t involve inviting bugs in.

The restaurant is excellent, we had an excellent dinner and delicious breakfast.

The temperature in the room was hot. The fans helped a bit, but still hot. The shower water pressue was weak.

Our room was big with comfortable beds. The view was nice and near the hot tub.

RESTAURANT WAS GREAT! Rooms were Iceland comfy and had nice amenities like Nespresso, shower shoes, robes, fridge and heated floors in the bathroom. Nice balcony view room 20.

The style of the hotel rooms is not very sophisticated: Trespa with plastic frames houses, plastic outdoor furniture, the furniture in the restaurant are all without style. The curtains are old. The bathroom is cramped and outdated, however the shower is nice, good power. The rooms are too expensive for what they are.

The location is excellent, with an amazing view on the steamy mud pools in the hills. The hot springs on site and the pool are perfect. The bed is very comfortable. The food in the restaurant is nice, breakfast is good. The staff is friendly enough.

The only downfall was the sulphur smell naturally coming from the geysers in our room. We had to open the door and window to air it out. We definitely would stay there again

The bed was so comfortable , the room clean,view beautiful, the sauna was clean and toasty, mineral baths were excellent for relaxation, we had robes in our room so we could venture into the pools. Breakfast and dinner were A1! The bread was so fresh and there was such a spread of selections to choose for breakfast; breakfast was also made for us the night before so we could take our food early with us to the airport. There was a mini fridge in our room. Dinner was over the moon so good! I have not had such good food for a long time! It is fine dining so don’t expect heaps of food. I had the lamb and my husband had the Halibut and wow all cooked on the Geysers! Superb!!!!! The staff was very helpful and Mario went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. We would definitely would stay there again!

The only bad part and really has nothing to do with the hotel is the taxi service is Iceland is expensive. We didn't do enough research and I would recommend renting a car if your traveling from the airport here.

Breakfast was great, so was dinner. View was wonderful. Spa and hot tubs where nice. Went into the river it's was cool but warm enough.

Our stay was good, not excellent and definitely not bad. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond. The rooms were nice and spacious, although our room had a slight odor that I couldn't pinpoint but it wasn't pleasant. Having a restaurant on-site was great, location was also great, and having a hiking trail right outside the door was AMAZING. The hot tub was lovely, but we were disappointed that the larger pool was not available during our stay, since this was one of the main reasons we booked this location over others. All in all it was a nice option for us.

Uneven stairs and pathways

Very minor, the rooms are a little quirky with quite compact, which might not be to everyone’s taste

Amazing location, great staff, fantastic restaurant (the food was absolutely great), good facilities. We would definitely stay again.

The room was shabby and small. The buildings are old and dilapidated. The outside area is neglected with old cat cage and junk lying around. The pool was empty. (Generally Icelandic houses are ugly and basic.) We needed to do some work but the desk that was in the photos was not in the room. It was expensive for what it was. Still. It was worth it and the food alone, the nature, the geysers. That's unique!

The location is beautiful with lovely walks and a river. The restaurant is superb. Hot tubs are wonderful, sauna too.
