we didn't get our luggage deposited after check-out.

The object is close to city center.

I can’t say the room was dirty but there was a lot of “dust” (when you put your cellphone down and take it after half an hour, you can see a lot of dust particles on it, and on the floor. Maybe the sheets are to blame so I suggest switching to better quality material… Also the bedding was not ironed which I prefer since ironing helps with hygiene.

Happy and interesting choice in Reykjavik.

All good. Basic but clean. Lots of equipment in shared kitchen. Minutes away from city centre.

Great location! Good size room.

The cleaning could be improved. Ladies showers were dirty and full of mold and mildew. The drain was blocked so the water would not drain. Kitchen was very grimy and the room dusty. Make sure to bring ear plugs as it is so noisy with people in and out all hours. It is advertised that they will keep your luggage after check out but it doesn’t sound safe as they recommended use of paid lockers.

Good location, good price, nice rooms, and very well equipped common rooms.

Only issue was an ear splitting alarm that went off 4 times during the night on our first night and once on our third night. Staff said they were having issues with the alarm but if didn't get sorted during our stay.

for long term students it seems expensive

I stayed here before and after my hike of the Laugavegur Trail. Only a short 15-minute walk on a paved walkway from the main bus station. Perfect for catching the bus to trail and the airport. Reception staff were available and helpful. They stored my luggage until check-in time. Clean basic room, comfortable bed. The shared kitchen made it easy to make coffee and have breakfast before heading out. I rented a locker on-site where I stored a bag while hiking the Laugavegur Trail. While cheaper options may be available at the car parks, I returned late and was glad I didn't have to walk further. The student bar was open late and offered cheaper options than dining out. I'm very glad I stayed here!
