Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaYou have to go outside for the toilet and shower. Toilet is warm, but shower has no roof. But it's an experience.
Incredible. Just book it! Very cozy, would recommend to anyone. There is a gas grill outside under a roof with gas fireplace and an outside heater, very easy to cook your hotdogs in any weather!

United StatesThe only thing that I think is critical is a way to block out the light and a privacy drape on the door. We luckily had eye covers but in the long June light we needed a little help with the sun and the privacy.
It’s right next to the most amazing waterfall hikes and the dc-3 plane crash. The dome is so cozy. And Javier was a delight. Loved every minute we were there.

AustraliaThe dome can be quite noisy, it's location is quite exposed for the view, so the wind howls through the night, to the extent I woke up feeling the bed shaking when the wind was strongest. The toilet room, though separate is kept warm, however the shower is outside in the cold, and though the water is warm, taking a shower is a pretty unpleasant experience. (the hosts did offer their shower down at the main house as an alternative - still a walk through the cold). There's also no running water inside, so washing dishes and getting drinking water is also a trip outside. A large stain on the clear portion of the tent obscures about 20% of the view.
The staff were wonderful, incredibly friendly and attentive. The location of the dome was great - we had stunning views of northern lights both nights we stayed - and amazing views from the bed when we woke up. The heaters keep you warm inside despite the cold outside.

DenmarkThe Dome was well equipped with all you needed - but outdoor lighting didn't work, which took a bit of the coziness away from the dinner we planned outside. The outdoor shower was warm but with freezing wind it could be better wind proofed.

United StatesOutdoor shower makes it difficult to shower in winter, but host did offer an alternate shower in the main house.

United KingdomWe happened to stay when it was very stormy and genuinely thought we were going to blow away. There is no over head covering when in the shower so the water which didn’t stay warm for very long was blowing all o er the place whilst trying to shower
Nice location, got to see the northern lights from bed

United KingdomOh what a treat, we stayed just 1 night. It was an experience. Lovely and snowy outside -12, warm and snug inside. Bring a prepared dinner, microwave toaster and kettle, who wants to cook a dinner when the view is amazing. Outside bbq, lovely outside heated seating area. Outside toilet has improved immensely since I was young 10 out 10

United KingdomThe front door had no cover/blind so would be good to have one for more privacy or those bright summer mornings.
The dome was an excellent quirky stay. Javier couldn't do enough to accommodate our needs. The lights and heating were on for our arrival. The dome itself was very comfortable with lots of amenities for the stay along with lots of blankets etc incase of the cold but the heating kept us warm. The outdoor seating area with heating lamp was perfect to bbq and the views were amazing. Location only 5mins from seljalandsfoss and the main road, perfect for the south coast. :)

United KingdomWe had a very cosy, couple of nights in the dome with the sighting of the Northern Lights on our first night. There are so many blankets and heaters provided to make it a perfect night under the stars. The heated blanket in the bed was particularly welcome! We had a BBQ both nights which worked very well for us. The only thing that didn't work was the shower but the owner fixed it the same day, a very cold but liberating experience once it worked! Highly recommend!

HungaryI think this was my favourite staying during our trip in Iceland. The dome is just so unique super nicely decorated inside, including so many equipments that our one night stay was just perfect! Although we really used all heating options but with the blanket heating it was nice to sleep. Also the outdoor sitting area was super cozy you can even use a heater if you want to sit out in the evening. This place will always be very special to me because we also saw the Aurora for the first time here ! Since it's away of any light pollution, the Aurora was showing off beautifully. It was the most beautiful Aurora that we saw during our stay in Iceland. When we return to Iceland, I will definitely reserve it again! :)
