Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe track to the dome needs some work, its ok if in a 4x4 or a car with high ground clearance. unfortunately we ended up with a £700 bill from the car hire firm due to damage to the under side of the car. 3 off us had to get out of the car and walk down the track so the car didnt bottom out so much.
4 of us stayed here end of Feb. Lovely cosy place to stay, comfortable beds, lovely fire with plenty of fire wood. it did get very hot in the bed on the mezz. unfortunately it was cloudy and snowing so didn't get to see the northern lights.

United StatesOur dome was the first one by the parking lot. That meant people constantly were flashing their lights into our windows trying to figure out where to go because you couldn’t drive up to the dome. Then a group of people stood in the parking lot talking with their lights on facing us. Ours was the first dome and we had to drag luggage up to the dome because you can’t drive up to it. If you were the 3rd then it was a farther haul. One of the space heaters didn’t work but it was still nice inside.
The property was beautiful! Very secluded.

United KingdomAmazing glamping experience next to the Icelandic forest in a peaceful location. The glamping pods felt very luxurious, with modern facilities. If it hadn't been cloudy we would have had a fantastic view of the night sky!! It was my husband's birthday and the owner had gone out of their way to make it feel special including a beautiful chocolate cake and Champagne for our arrival, totally unexpected !! Thank you so much for making our stay feel so special.

United KingdomWith Iceland's variable weather, there is a challenge to drive out of the property because there is a steep hill. More frequent gritting could easily solve this.
The property is beautiful. It sits secluded in the woods, the interior is delightfully decorated and measures are taken to warm the property where feasible. I used it as a location to propose to my partner and it was picturesque in all the right ways.

IrelandShower/ bathroom flooded due to drain being frozen with large block of ice. Husband had to attempt to drain water. Not ideal for an expensive night away and not expected on holiday. Our friends stayed too and electricity when in the morning when trying to get ready. Contacted property to let them know of same. Still awaiting reply Also gets very cold if you don't keep fire going throughout the night. Potential for better heating system.
Secluded location ideal for couples. Nice for one night. An experience especially if you are fortunate enough to see the northern lights. welcome bottle of wine and a kitchen well equipped. Fire with plenty of wood provided.

United KingdomThere was a mouse in our dome. Some basics like English breakfast tea bags and a small milk would have been good. The big trucks parked in front of the domes are also a massive eye-sore and completely ruin the view. They are very expensive and the view and lack of a few basic things don't add up to that cost.
Loved the dome and the fireplace. Was very cosy in there. Unfortunately it was cloudy so we couldn't see the lights outside.

United KingdomThere was a mice in our bin which was less than ideal. There were no matches to light the log burner so we had to wait over an hour for someone to bring us some after calling the number three times. Didn't ruin the overall stay but not perfect go en the price.

United KingdomBed was rather hard and uncomfortable but I still got a good night sleep. The dome could really do with some hooks- there was nowhere to hand wet towels and wet jackets so they ended up being draped over chairs etc
Great modern finishings. Felt very new and clean. Close to the Golden Circle highlights but also just a short drive from Selfoss for its great dining options.

ItalyWe were expecting the domes to be in the middle of the forest, but they actually are facing the camping ground with two big black sleeping trucks right in front of the balcony. Not a valuable view for this kind of luxury glamping.
Sleeping in a dome is a must-have experience. The space is beautifully designed with a focus on efficiency, comfort and luxury. We really appreciated also the complimentary wine!
