There is a small red box the size of a switch by front door, BAD PLACEMENT. We had some late comers around 11.30pm. I had fallen asleep. I think they accidentally set off the alarm for the next 10 minutes or more the fire alarm went off. Someone from the place tried to reset it 3 time they were good after that slap was hard to come by. The whole building was woken and shook up.

The room was comfortable, digital entry which was good since it was close to 9pm when I got there. There was a sink in the room. There was a nice kitchen plenty of seats and bathrooms down the hall.

The room was quite small for two people, but manageable if just for a night or two. No other issues.

The whole property was clean, there was access to a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, shared facilities were clean, and as described in the guesthouse write-up.

Communication was a bit challenging since it was a self check-in. Initially, we had trouble locating the exact building and weren’t sure where to park. The biggest issue, however, was that our room was situated right next to the balcony/outdoor area. Many guests used that space to smoke, and the smell would come into our room. Additionally, the noise from people talking there disrupted our comfort.

Someone entered the PIN to my lock and opened the door at 930 in the morning while I was laying in bed... They closed the door as I looked up so I have no idea what happened but they didn't knock or anything. Very strange, especially since check out is at 11. I was obviously not happy about that at all.

There was a weird chambermaid speaking only russian and acting quite unwelcoming. The process of automatic check in is a bit of a hassle.

Pretty nice and clean, some kitchen appliances could use some maintenance, but it's nothing serious. All in all its definitely worth the money.

Despite relatively new, some equipment (kitchen especially) is already worn out a bit. One of two stoves already did not function (we stayed there roughly a week ago before this stay, and it was still working) - so perhaps this was temporary. Also, there could be more hangers & hooks in rooms and perhaps a common space where cloths could be dried (since this is the likely start/finish place for famous Landmannalaugar trek).

Modern facility. Large enough shared kitchen/seating space. Spacious rooms. Coffee machine to use for free :-) Would definitely stay here again.

When large groups arrive the rest & coopking area gets crowded and as well toilets/bathroom, as these are only 2 for the full guesthouse.

Clean simple guesthouse with good equipment for cooking, dinning area and free coffee machine. Good location just few minutes from swimming pool, grocery store or restaurants.

Host was not nice. Rooms were dirty and not ready. She moved us to different rooms. Then at 10am tried kicking us out.

Our room was not ready, and was not cleaned. We were moved to a different building. We had 3 rooms. Everything was ok, however, the receptionist was not friendly. She was rude on the phone. She came and woke us up at 10am. Told us, we needed to leave. However, checkout was 11AM.
