Excellent place to stay when driving Highway 1. Friendly staff, fantastic breakfast buffet. Room very comfortable and clean. Went into hot tub under the stars as full moon rose. Even saw the northern lights. Highly recommended as a top place to stay.

I am biased, as we were in the guesthouse and there was nobody else there, so we ended up having a massive space for ourselves. 4 individual beds were clean and comfy

The staff is lovely, helpful and professional. We had a very nice dinner at the hotel, the artic char was excellent (I also got gluten free bread). The rooms are comfortable and clean. We stayed one night as we had to continue our drive, I would have enjoyed staying more nights. Very pleasant stay.

Good location nearby the main road no. 1 and Reykjadalur hot springs. In the guesthouse there are 3 bathrooms, living room and a small kitchen. Extraordinary breakfast served in the main hotel building including eggs, bacon, homemade waffles, cereals, jams, yoghurt, bread, ham, cheese etc.

Bed pillows too soft, it was almost as if you didnt have them. Sheet cover were torn and one or two bed sheets had a tiny holes.

Lots of flies in the guesthouse and during breakfast. Owners also operate a horse farm nearby, so that part of nature may be unavoidable. Not much kitchen equipment, no hand towels in the bathroom Walls are thin. Pillows are a bit flat. Good for a one-night stay

We stayed in the guesthouse with shared bathrooms. All facilities were clean, bed comfortably, very warm. But unfortunately the property don’t pay attention to the basic details: missing towels in the kitchen, no knives or dustpan with broom at the entrance. We won’t book this property again, but value for price is good.

The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and well heated. The room is a little small for 2 people and luggage but the breakfast more than made it value for money. Being surrounded by horses was a treat. Fridge and kettle in the common area but no cooking. It was a pleasant stay for 1 night.

It was an excellent stay, they serve a very good breakfast. The room and all installations in general were very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were shared, but private, which is nice. Also, there were enough bathrooms and showers, so no waiting in line. The staff was super nice. The location was great, despite not being in a central city location, it was relatively close to main attractions at the south and in the route to diamond beach, so it's easier to come back instead of returning all the way back to Reykjavik.

This guesthouse is located in a nice and quiet area. Breakfast is really nice and staff friendly however, the room are pretty basic and small. Is a cheaper option compared to other places in the area so if you are travelling on a “budget” ( hard To say that in Iceland ) I would definitely recommend this place. There is a kitchen but no pan or similar ( this was specified to be honest so we knew in advance ) but being a guesthouse, it would be nice if I could prepare my own food instead of going to the restaurant but this is just my opinion. There is a bar in the main building where you can enjoy a beer or a drink at a normal price ( below Icelandic standard )
