Lovely guesthouse in nature with lovely breakfast and spotless rooms and shared bathrooms. Krauma baths are very close and the peace and quiet was a great end to our trip!

Excellent stay. Convenient, immaculately clean and everything you need. Easy check in. Perfect location away from city lights and expansive views for northern lights viewing. 3 shared bathrooms with showers, shared large kitchen with everything you need and ample seating. Shared living area with TV and games. Ample parking. Great breakfast included with bread, jam, peanut butter, cold cereals, yogurt, sliced meat, veggies and hard boiled eggs, coffee, milk and juice.

The size of the room, which though I didn't mind.

This accommodation was such a positive surprise! It's in a very quiet location accessible by a countryside road. The room was small, but was comfy, warm, cozy and had everything I needed. A full kitchen is available to use as well as laundry facilities. I had the breakfast included, and I was happy with it (I had my own, but if you require non-dairy milk, you might want to contact them in advance). The hostess was super nice, she served me breakfast and was available to answer my questions - she gave me some good advice which helped me to better plan the rest of my day. I didn't use the shower as Krauma Geothermal Baths and Spa are just 11 minutes away. It also had a stunning view from the terrace.

Everything was great. The room, the common areas, kitchen for our use, modern bathrooms, the breakfast, and the helpful family owners. The price is excellent compared to many Icelandic places.

This was a great place, nothing not to like.

Very peaceful and a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. I only stayed one night and was alone, but I would certainly visit again with my family. Everything was great. Very quiet; I had a beautiful view from the room window and was able to see faint Northern Lights. The kitchen and common areas were exactly as pictured and very handy; the bathroom was spotless. It was a clear night and great for stargazing in the hot tub on the deck at night. Very close to Hraunfossar. I would love to come back here. Hosts were very responsive.

Very quiet location, but not far from many interesting places like horse riding, thermal pools, waterfalls, nature interests.. Also the hot tub with 24/7 working is perfect. Rooms, bathrooms and kitchen, all very clean and practically furnished. Nice and helpfull hosts.

The mattress was too springy for my liking.

It was a cozy space and the bathrooms were huge and very clean. The hot tub had a sunset view. The hosts put in effort to prepare a nice breakfast for us. We also managed to catch the northern lights at this place.

We were really looking forward to the advertised hot tub out on the deck, but when we got in, it was full of algae, kind of slippery and green.

Breakfast buffet was good, even for us vegetarians. The view was lovely. the dog was super friendly, which our grandson really liked. This was also a great location for going horseback riding at Sturlureykir stables, which they had recommended.
