It’s an older hotel but it was clean and had what we needed

The staff was super nice and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. We had dinner at the restaurant as you’d have to drive for a bit to get to another restaurant, but the food was good and well prepared

Exactly as advertised. We found exactly what we’ve booked with one exception: The staff was above expectations in kindness and support. We didn’t had the chance for dinner because we arrived a bit late, but saw a lot of options on home made food. Breakfast was “not the best in town”, but it fits well for travelers and backpackers. For sure, staff didn’t let anyone out of there with an empty stomach. Overall evaluation: good option to stay while routing around the ring road.

The bathrooms were rather small. Could be difficult for taller and wider guests.

Property was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our overnight stay. We didn’t get to try the restaurant but the breakfast was great. I really appreciated the front desk reaching out to me to confirm my arrival time. We were running late from Hofn and they made sure we had proper instruction to be able to get to our room after-hours.

The bathroom is really very small, and the shower has limited hot water capacity. You need to wait a bit between showers so the next person doesn’t suddenly get cold water.

Small but cozy cottage — perfect for a one-night stay. Wi-Fi works well. Breakfast was included in the price and was good.

Our room was spacious with a large window giving a lot of light, the view over the mountains was really nice. Everything was clean and organized. The establishment is fairly unique, you see it from outside one way but once inside it really looks different and much bigger. Breakfast had a lot of options and was good - I'm still struggling to see how hotels can offer a free breakfast like that, yet charge over $25 for a bowl of soup. Large parking lot, no problem to park. Very quiet as it's quite isolated, maybe 5km off the road 1.

Please consider using blackout shades! The light entered the room from 4 am already despite two types of shades. But neither were black out. My baby was up very early because of this

Although not the most modern, the hotel was charming. The rooms were comfortable and big. We had a two bedroom apartment. The staff was friendly and dinner and breakfast were great. The surrounding is of course beautiful.

The hotel management was very accommodating of our late arrival. They even kept the restaurant open an extra hour to make us a delicious dinner. They could not have been more gracious!

There was a nice kitchen with microwave, double hob, 3 pans and a pot. Unfortunately no cooking utensils, so a little difficult to cook. The AC was used to heat the room, which worked really well, unfortunately it was very load, especially at night.

The Chalet was lovely and cozy, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a bit of a squeeze but OK for a short stay. Breakfast was good with cereal, bread, jams, cheese, meats and fruit and vegetables.

We booked the chalet from the 10th to the 12th of October. We had to ask to switch to a normal room for the second night because the chalet was too cold for us (we had to keep the air conditioning on the entire night to keep it warm and it was noisy, there was only a small heater which was not enough to warm-up the chalet). I recommend checking the period in which you plan to stay in the chalet.

The owner was very kind in accommodating our request, the room was nice and the breakfast had a lot of choice.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Location was quiet and in a pretty setting. Staff was friendly and helpful. We needed to move our stay up one night due to weather and the front desk person was very accommodating, which was much appreciated. Cold breakfast, but lots of choices. Dinner was also good.

The price was affordable compared to other hotels in Iceland. We got a corner room and it was really spacious. Good dinner
