It was really clean, amazing view and super cozy!

Very clean and cozy lodge with a tranquil river view in front . The hostess of the lodge is so nice. We arrived late after the check in time and she waited for us. We didn’t have the time to have dinner before arriving but fortunately the hostess is very thoughtful and kept some pasta and sauce for sale so we didn’t have to go to bed hungry .

Charming cabins, amazing view, great location

Location provided a window to the beauty of Iceland. Lake vistas are outstanding.

Beautiful country location.

The kitchenette was very well equipped. Felt like we were in a log cabin. Cozy beds, beautiful view, and met by a friendly host.

Nothing.

This was our favourite accommodation for our holiday. The cabin was more spacious than expected and was really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The location is central and great and a short drive to many sites in the East of Iceland. The views were incredible and it's such a serene stay.

The bathroom was very small, particularly the shower. You can hear the adjoining room but this wasn't an issue. The turning to get in was a little steep but manageable so be prepared for that. You have to inform the hosts on the day what time you will be arriving, which is fine for us as a generous check in window which we could move on the day, but meant we felt a little rushed to get there in time.

Bed linen was tired and worn out . Required new pillows . Shower room was very small and knees touched the shower when sitting on the toilet . This could be fabulous if the owners updated the accommodation . A more comfortable sofa and shower cubicle showing wear and tear . Also didn’t drain fast enough so standing in 4 inches of water !

This gorgeous apartment had everything we needed, thoughtfully arranged and with care for the environment, which is always good to see. They even had a list of essential grocery items you could buy to top up. It was spotlessly clean comfortable, and perfectly located for our needs, and nice and quiet.

This was the only place we stayed this trip that didn't have self check in, which gave us a deadline to arrive, which is fair enough, they had to show us around the apartment and how things worked and it's only fair on them that we don't turn up in the middle of the night, even if quietly! But this did slightly affect/limit our options for that day, although once we had the key we were free to come and go, obviously respecting the quiet hours.

I see private beach access was on the listing but couldn't find information how to access it (the beach is some way from the property)

Beautiful place to stay with views of the lake. The apartment was cosy and warm, with a comfy bed and well decorated.

It had everything you need.

The heat pump was very noisy and came on a lot. It was hard to regulate the temperature in the apartment.
