The Fisherman's Village is charming with lots of interesting design details. The location is amazing, on a peninsula with ocean all around. There were horses grazing just next door and an aviary filled with doves on the property. It's also near a golf course, which we found humorous. Our room had a good family layout, with a sitting area, double bed bedroom and two lofts with double beds on each. The staff was kind when contacting them by phone. The sauna and hot tub were nice touches.

The water was off because of construction in the area and was promised to resume by 4:30pm. It didn't resume until 7:30pm and we were worried that we'd have to find other accommodations, which was stressful. Our room had a hot tub in the back and it was so hot you could have made a sous vide dish in it (we couldn't go in for fear of burning our skin) once the water resumed. We asked for someone to fix it and don't even know if anyone came because we went to bed at 10 pm. This morning the water in it was cold, so maybe they just turned the heat off. We felt cheated since we paid extra for a room with a hot tub and sauna (and because we had to wait so long for the water to be turned back on, we didn't even have time to try the sauna). The whole place was a bit tired. It was quaint, but it needed updating.

On the last night before an early flight it was very loud with one family having some Kind of argument between the different rooms lots of shouting and tears - this is in no way the fault of the fisherman’s village however as it’s unmanned there were no staff on site to ask them to quieten down.

Beautiful facilities in a great quiet location surrounded by water and horses…. Quick drive to Reykjavik and convenient for the airport too!

The wind was blowing too loudly… just kidding!

The room was clean and located in a beautiful setting with the ocean surrounding the property. We took advantage of the quiet neighborhood for walking. The nearby grazing horses were an added bonus to the setting. I appreciated the timely response via email to a question I had about the room before my arrival.

The TV was not working, unable to get a signal. The room was limited in the amount of plug-ins and very limited towel bars in the bathroom. There was not a person on-site that I could consult when I had an issue with the room door.

Of the ten locations we stayed in Iceland this was our favourite. If I could give it 11 ot of 10 I would. It is the kind of place I would move to Iceland to live in. Beautiful scenery; quiet - you could not tell that you were 10 minutes from central Reykjaiv. You feel like you are a millionaire - beautiful beach to stroll along; horses to pet a golf course to walk around. There is even a sauna and hot tubs. The room was great with a lovely en-suite.

I wouldn't change a thing - its a place I would gladly return to.

TV had no reception, didn't work. Wish there was a an onsite restaurant or breakfast available or close by. Microwave would've been nice.

Room had exceptional views with seaview on both sides of our accommodation, and a paddock with Icelandic horses outside our lounge window. The spa and sauna available to all guests was very much welcomed at the end of the day after touring the Golden circle. A quiet location on the end of a peninsula with great views.

Such an idyllic place! I wish I’d had time to stay longer. So quiet and serene out by the sea. Horses in the pasture just outside my window. Coffee and tea service in room with a small mini fridge. Not much around in the way of restaurants, so you’ll need to plan ahead. Close proximity and easy drive to the airport. Walking paths through the moors and beautiful views of the city and sea.

We got an apartment for 4 people (nr 23) and it was okay for 1 night. It was very clean. The child liked the horses close by and it is only 40 minutes to Kevlavik airport.

I was disappointed when we arrived at the apartment as the last stop of our vacation on Island. The apartment definitely needs some renovations, as the walls and ceilings contain scratches and other damage. The bed was used up and I woke up with some back pain. It must have been a great apartment when built, but now it doesn't feel nice anymore and is too expensive for what you get. The neighbors are very close and pass through the terrace and windows.

Very comfortable rooms in a very peaceful area. The view of the ocean was magnificent. Very clean too.

For the summer months, better room darkening shades are needed. If you need darkness in order to sleep, do not book a lofted room. There are frosted windows that do not have shades, and let in too much light.

The location was beautiful and right on the water with amazing views. The horses on site were a bonus. We utilized the hot tub and the sauna which were a great addition. The room was cozy and comfortable with a lot of local charm.

A way to make the room less humid, we felt damp the entire time. Not a deal breaker thought everything else was excellent and the proce was so low compared to other properties we stayed. I would book this again in a heartbeat.
