Smelled of fresh paint in the entrance, though not in the main rooms. Much still looks under construction, especially in the kitchen, and the second bedroom needs a socket near the bed.

Wonderful night here! Spacious, clean, comfortable beds, nice view, excellent shower and WiFi, and a memorable breakfast overlooking the glacier, with waffles, fresh bread, ham, cheese, fruit, and a Gevalia coffee machine.

- The window needs to remain closed at all times due to tiny flies that bite. As a result the room gets warm at night which is uncomfortable. The property has no portable fans. - The property has no housekeeping service but that's not a problem as long as one is made aware of it - The property has ongoing construction on site

Takes a little time to get use to the fresh paint smell, it's understandable as the suite has just been renovated. Thank you for a great stay.

We stayed in a newly renovated family room on June 30th, extremely clean rooms, heated bathroom flooring, a kitchenette and very comfortable beds. Communication with their staff was excellent. The staff open the hot tub early in the morning for my family to enjoy before check out. Much appreciated. We had a quiet and restful stay. Absolutely we would like to stay here again.

Very nice and new renovated house with a breakfast room with a beautiful view of the glacier. Very nice and friendly staff. The house was very clean and the area very quiet. As guests you can use the nearby hot tubs for free and that was a very good and relaxing experience. I loved the fresh made waffles at the breakfast. The guesthouse offers a common area like a living room with portraits of the first owners and stones and things they found over the years in glacier area. Very interesting and informative. We enjoyed our stay there.

We could not open the window due to midges, so it was quite hot, even though it was below 10 degrees outside. Not sure why a mesh is not simply fitted to the window, as it must be a constant problem for everyone.

Very nice location - quiet but only 15min from Hofn. Hot tubs close by, included in price. The best part is the close location to a beautiful glacier lake - 4km. We went after breakfast, and there was only one other car. Room was very clean, and the surroundings are very pretty. Comfortable beds, nice shower. Nice continental breakfast with fresh waffles. Friendly reception.

As I’m an early riser, I would have appreciated the breakfast/lounge area being open early to grab a cup of coffee, read, and enjoy the view.

A beautiful setting. It’s obviously still being developed with a spa and (apparently) some additional lodging under construction. But the VIEW! The breakfast was perfect for starting our day

The hotel is in a quiet location with convenient parking. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The bed was also very comfortable, we slept well. There was a kettle and toiletries in the room. The breakfast was a buffet with many choices for everyone. Pleasant and polite staff. Check-in was without a person present.

Like most rooms in iceland, very warm. Easy enough to open a window. Did not detract from the experience.

The location was perfect! I had a tripple room with private bathroom. The mountains, horses, glacier...even with the moody weather The peace and quiet soothed me. I will definitely be coming back in the future!!

None of the TVs worked on the premises or in the rooms. Not being able to access the snack bar/cafe outside reception hours was a bit annoying. Especially in poor weather when having a bit more space to spread out in would have been nice.

The situation of the hotel was very spectacular with amazing glacier views. The room was spacious, clean and cosy, with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was a standard continental buffet, but the fresh waffels were a nice addition. The hot tubs were great!
