Clean and neat guest house. Check in was easy

My stay at this guesthouse was a very disappointing and unsafe experience. For the high price of €344, I expected at least basic comfort and cleanliness, but instead I found: Torn and dirty bed sheets. A broken lamp socket that could be pulled out completely; when I plugged in my charger it produced sparks, which is a serious fire hazard. The heating stopped working in the middle of the night, leaving the room very cold. Curtains that did not close properly, offering no privacy. This place is neither clean nor safe, and does not meet the standards of accommodation in Iceland. I would strongly advise other travelers to avoid staying here.

Location was great. Close to shop. Room was pleasant.

No tv remote, no wifi (it wasn’t connected). Extremely small kitchen. Toilet and shower in same room so if two people were taking a shower at the same time out of a possible 12 ish people then you couldn’t use the toilet. Unable to get response from owner to rectify problems with tv and wifi.

The staff is very polite and helpful. The refrigerator is huge so I could keep all of my food cool. The room was spacious and the location of the guesthouse is very central in Höfn.

The beds are very uncomfortable as the springs in the mattress could be felt when laying in it. The material of the duvet covers was also uncomfortable.

Small room. Very small kitchen for number of guests. 1 of the shower/bathrooms dated.

The room was clean and the shared facilities were perfectly fine for our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped, which made things easy. It’s conveniently close to Netto supermarket, so grabbing essentials was simple. One thing to note: noise carries from the kitchen, so if you have noisy neighbors staying up late, you might hear everything. Overall, a good place for one night while passing through.

It was at a good location.

The walls were very thin and we could hear everything coming from the shared space. Unluckily, there was a big group of Korean people at the same time as us and they did not take into consideration that other people tried to sleep or rest as they were very loud. Also, there are only 2 bathrooms: shower and toilet in the same room for around 12 people.

The accommodation was great. The kitchen wasn’t particularly clean the air fryer was filthy. When we stayed the accommodation was very full and other visitors felt they owned the toilet/shower which. Was disappointing as the facilities were there to share.

The airfryer had never been cleaned and some visitors felt like the shower and toilets were just for their use .

Everything would be perfect if there were more showers and toilets.

It’s an economy option for no economy price. But given a choice in that area it’s fine to stay for a night.

It was very clean and comfortable.

The apartment lost all power through the night meaning all our food spoiled.there was no one to tell. Also meant no internet so unable to contact anyone about the issue.

Great location in Höfn with a view of Vestrahorn. Easy no contact check-in. There is a kitchen in the common area with access to free coffee and a refrigerator.

We had a room with two single beds and the room was way too small. It was quite difficult and annoying to get to the bed close to the window and it was generally difficult to move around. While the beds were comfortable, they were also too small. There were two shared bathrooms on our floor. One of them was very modern. Unfortunately, one of the bathrooms was out of toilet paper in the morning and there was no spare TP in the bathroom.
