There were a few details that left much to be desired: the window didn’t close properly (which can be an issue in winter), the kitchen facilities were quite poor and there was no proper space to have meals - we had to eat on the dresser in the room. There wasn’t even a hook in the bathroom. Overall, it felt a bit neglected.

The house has some charm, the room was spacious and the bathroom recently renovated. The bed was comfortable, the location excellent – we even managed to park right at the door without any problem – and considering Icelandic prices, it wasn’t very expensive.

The steps were steep and short which was very difficult with suitcases. We found many issues with the room itself as well. The lightbulb in the side table lamp was missing, the bed frame fell apart and there were holes in the bedsheets. In the bathroom, the sink was very shallow and the water pressure was very high so it was impossible to wash your hands without getting sprayed by the water.

The room was spacious and it was located within walking distance to the downtown area.

The room could have had better equipment. For example some hangers, bench, second chair and some pictures on the walls. Also it would been better if things worked properly, like door handles were stuck in place and the kitchen faucet wouldn't drain. In short I would say that this place lacks a little care that would improve guests’ experience of their stay.

Communal kitchen was tiny, with hardly any equipment, plus no dining area. If you want a great kitchen to cook an evening meal, I would not recommend this guest house.

We were expecting more of a common kitchen with a table and space to eat inside. The room needed a little maintenance and maybe some instructions on how to work the TV. More sockets needed!

The room size is very good, the beds are big and comfortable, and a good shower. The common kitchenette offers cups, cutlery, dishes, fridge and microwave and a small kitchen top. This was useful to prepare some breakfast and packed lunch. It is very close to the main street. Clear instructions to check-in.

There was a bit of noise at night due to the central location, and the room could have been cleaner. One of the door frames also came loose, but staff were informed.

Check-in was quick and easy, and the location is excellent — right in the city center, with everything within walking distance.

No staff - when I rang on arrival, it just went through to a call centre. No explanation of facilities available - e.g that there was a kitchen (very small) but equipped with kettle, microwaves, crockery, cutlery, etc.

The accomodation could improve the kitchen, it is a tiny place with few kitchen utensils. I am not sure how it works with more people. I would suggest to buy mineral water for your stay.

The guesthouse was right in the centre of Akureryi. Easy to park in front of the building for free as we arrived after 16:00(in April). Self check-in so we didn't have to worry.

We were assigned to rooms under renovation on our arrival (we obviously had no idea). We spent some time figuring out what happened and the weren't replying in booking messages. So we had to call them (that cost us extra) but right away the gave us two rooms instead of one.

The floor was not very clean, there was no kitchen in the building, in contrast to the description. The place seems to be slowly renovated, so I guess it would be better quality in the future.

The room had a condensation issue, water built up on the window and it was always fogged up. The bathroom was not the cleanest. The shower curtain interferes with taking a nice shower.

Location was perfect to walk all around the city. The room is faily large for Iceland standards.
