The house is beautiful with large windows to see the surrounding ocean and beautiful weather and sunsets. The house is luxurious with heated floors. It is relaxing to sip a coffee by the window looking at the ocean where the wind blows away the rain clouds.

Great communication with owners. A little bit off the beat and track in the winter when it is dark and cold. But once you got your bearings, it wasnt such a problem. Good size family property. Great blue tooth speaker, for listening to music. Wood burner makes the place feel super cozy. It never felt cold at all in the property throughout the day or night.

The only thing lacking was a television screen, which would have been nice to plug our laptop into and play movies to enjoy on the long, dark evenings in winter! But this was made clear in the property description so we knew to expect it. Also, it wasn't easy to find straight away when we arrived on a snowy winter night in the dark - I think this would be no issue at all in daylight though, and the host did send good directions (it just wasn't easy the first time in the dark!). Apart from that there was nothing to not like!

The property was spacious and clean and very comfortable. The beds in particular were super comfy! There were large glass windows at the front where we spent a lot of time sitting and watching the sea (and looking for the aurora at night). We saw humpback whales and dolphins from the house, and also the aurora on almost every night when it wasn't cloudy. There was a lovely wood burner, and the kitchen was well supplied with everything you might need. And it was well situated for the road to go sight-seeing. All in all, we had an excellent and comfortable stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The only downside, which wasn’t that big of a deal, was most of the dishes/utensils/pans were not clean. However this is not a huge deal and we just washed items that we were going to use.

This property has incredible views and is conveniently located between Reykjavik and Keflavik. You are far enough removed from the city to see the northern lights! The property is a great size, the bathroom and bedrooms were very nice and well-sized. The primary contact for the property was very responsive before and during my stay and ever checked in to see how things were going.

Third bedroom was very small and I think they miss a huge opportunity by not having a spa/sauna outside with those beautiful water views.

Great location. It is right off a main roadway but it feels secluded. It was a 1/2 hr from the airport and a 1/2 hr from Rekeyevik.

We contacted the company four times via booking.com asking how we got keys but did not get a reply (this could be a booking.com problem), this brought a lot of stress knowing if we turned up would somebody be there. We took ages to find it as it was dark. When we arrived no one was there and we had to ring a number we found on a link to Greenkey team. We got the code. All the dishes from a previous customer were in the dishwasher, worktops not cleaned.

The property is amazing though won't suit everyone. You will need a car and its 30-35 minutes into the city. You are remote in a dark site with perfect views North so could watch the lights from inside. Underfloor heating ensures you are comfy and with the sea air the best sleep ever.

We were told on the day of booking that the tap water is salty so there is plenty of fresh water in the property in bottles when we arrived there was no fresh water and it took 2 days for fresh water to arrive, front door doesn’t seem to lock also the door in the bedroom to the patio area doesn’t work,

We struggled with the keypad on arrival, eventually being told by the agent to "kick" the door to get in....it would be easier to have a manual lock box in case of technical problems, like a faulty keypad. The smaller bedroom by the bathroom we couldn't use, there is smell coming from the pipe work and we had to keep the door closed. The couch and seating could do with an upgrade...

A fantastic house in a great location, we were always happy to come home to a lovely warm house after a day of exploring the wilderness. Spacious, clean linen, comfortable beds and fresh water for drinking, the bathroom was fantastic and spacious as well. The facilities were great, washing machine and tumble dryer - the kitchen was really well thought out and you have everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We saw the Aurora from the lounge windows on numerous nights. Location to Keflavik airport and Reykjavik was convenient, with good planning, you have access to the Southern routes, and Western routes as well. We would definitely book to come again.

Couldn't work out how to turn the outside lights off - so when we had Northern Lights it was more difficult to see then due to the ambient light.

Location was very convenient from Reykjavik and also the International Airport - but in hindsight the main attractions were over the other side of town - but not a big deal when you have a hire car. Great facilities and very comfortable.

The hot water stopped working on our arrival day so we had cold showers although the owner tried to get a plumber asap.

Beautiful views of the sea in this quiet property. It was a few hundred yards on an unmarked road after leaving the main road so might be difficult to see in the winter as unlit. Modern but characterful inside with loads of books and an excellent sound system. (no TV) Kitchen well equipped and beds extremely comfortable. Good blinds. Excellent for getting to airport (15mins) and Reykjavík (25 mins) and Golden Circle and South Coast easily reached within a couple of hours. We hired a car.

Should provide more than one bath towel per person. The outdoor dining area was unusable. We understand that outdoor dining is only for a very short time in Iceland. There should be a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music.

Bit of a mixup with the key on arrival, but to be fair it was quite quickly sorted out. Shower tray needs clearing as water was filling the tray very quickly..

Fantastic location - within easy reach of both the airports and city centre. Despite this, the setting felt quiet and secluded .

Nothing, it was perfect. I'd recommend a 4x4 vehicle due to gravel roads but not essential.

Ideal location, out of town and right next to the shore but close to the main sites. Only 15 minute drive to Reykjavik.

The only down side of a wonderful stay was a smell in the small bedroom from the pipework which appears to enter and leave the property in this room. This didn't effect us however as we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms.

Access was easy using the key box code sent to us the day before including a video and photos of our route to the Cabin and how to open and lock the door. The cabin was perfect for our needs, very comfortable and with all accessories needed. There was no tv which we found very refreshing and resulted in us have some super social evenings. We even watched the aurora borealis from the comfort of the sitting room. Perfect.
