How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bit noisy. People in the room above us, left early. We could hear the walking, and bathroom use.

Parking was a bit of a hassle.

Shower design. It floods easily.

The only minor issue is that the windows are quite old and not well sealed, so cold air gets inside.
Easy and quick check in and check out, enough parking spots, pleasant room with a comfortable bed, spatious shower and amazing breakfast available from 4am. The location of the hotel is also great with it being only 10-15 minutes from the airport.

There should be a way to open the window more than just a crack so you can get that beautiful cool Iceland air into your hot hotel room that smells like someone just took a shower a few hours ago. Just sayin.

I couldn't rate the staff as good or not because we didn't see any staff. Check in was staffless. Check out was just leaving our key card. No interaction by staff with us.
Room was comfortable and clean. Self serve Breakfast was very good. Check in easy.

Location very convenient to get to the airport at 4 am. Free car park. Hotel room small but comfortable. We came late and were leaving early so limited time spent at the hotel but overall pleasant experience.

The only thing I would change is the check-in process - it’s fine to have to self-check in and that was very easy, I just would have liked our names and room numbers to not be on display for other guests to see, I know there would be no issues but maybe just for privacy, especially if you were like me and were traveling by yourself! Other than that it was a really wonderful stay!
I only stayed here for one night before a very early flight but it was great accommodation. Very clean, great facilities (shower was excellent!!!) and very close to the airport. I used a taxi service through the hotel which was so easy to do and the hosts left very detailed instructions! Would stay here again!

While probably in line with Iceland, still seemed quite pricey for one night and no staff on site and no breakfast included. I paid just a bit more in nearby Kopavagur for a very nice hotel with an amazing breakfast. One fleeting staff member I did catch and ask for a food reccommendation, she had only one place to offer.
The room was small, but not tiny. It had a desk and a wardrobe - just fine for a one night stay before heading to airport early in the morning. There was space enough to unpack andreorganize my suitcase. The bed was comfy and the water pressure in shower great. No bells and whistles, just the basics and a clean comfortable place to stay. Easy to find, nice that ample parking available.

Nothing at all, don't be put off by the brown throws on the beds, as I was, it's a really nice and comfortable stay.
Out of the four places I stayed at during my Iceland trip, I had the least expectations about Hotel Jazz due to the average Booking.com score, so I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived and found a nicely decorated hotel, and a squeaky clean room with seaview. The bed was very comfortable and I had the best sleep of my trip. The staff is very friendly and happy to help with any request. I found the room a little too warm, and the receptionist kindly turned down the underfloor heating. The location is ideal for the airport, as it's just a 10-minute drive away. I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to Iceland.

There was a bathtub, but without a plug we couldn't use it. That was very disappointing.
The room was very big with enough space for the luggage, which is important when you are staying the night before your flight. 24h shop nearby and the street with lots of cafes. 5 min walk to the seafront.

We were reliant on a taxi to get us to the airport. Booked it the day before as suggested but was 30 minutes late getting there. Didnt have any other options for getting to the airport as 430am. Made it stressful at the time however the check in process at the airport was very simple so didn't end up being a problem
Comfortable Continual quitel jazz music in the foyer made it feel homely when entering the buildling
