There were no soap available in the property. Instruction to run appliances could have been provided. Though was not a show stopper. Also a personal observation our checkout was before 11 and with kids having to prep the breakfast and then do the dishes and then keep it where it’s supposed to be becomes a bit difficult as I cannot use the dishwasher due to time constraints.

The property was amazing. Outside the hustle and bustle of the city yet has all the amenities a person can think of.

The house is very well equipped and comfortable with lovely big windows to enjoy the almost 360 views of the countryside. It was not very far from a village with a good supermarket and although it was in the countryside, it didn't feel isolated which was good as we had snow and gale force winds. We were very cosy and really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend it.

A very small thing, the board games were missing some pieces - but not a major issue!

Great location, nice and quiet in a rural location. The hosts helped us when our car got stuck in the snow, they arranged for a neighbour who kindly helped clear the path. The house is clean and has all the amenities including a smart TV which is handy when weather is bad outside. Also hosts kindly stocked bits of food and drink for us.

Everything was good.

We loved the views! The house was very comfortable and well-situated to visit Westman Islands, waterfalls and hot springs. The teapot was a nice touch. We were so busy we never had time to try the sauna!

This was our favorite place we stayed in Iceland. It is a charming house with all the amenities you could need. It was nice to be able to do a load of laundry. Beautiful location and comfy bed!

It seems like the guests are super to clean the kitchen, and I am not sure if everyone does a great job all the time.

The house itself. The location. The view. We saw the Northerm lights and an Akzo sky full of stars the first night the small town 6 minutes away had a great public swimming pool with 3 hot tubs at different degrees and a sauna.

Super little cottage in a very quiet location. No light pollution and distant views of snow capped mountains! Feels like you are away from it all but the N1 and nearest town is only a 5 minute drive. The property is well situated for visiting many of the slights in southern Iceland. It’s lovely to come home to after a day out hiking. Very cosy and homely. Lovely light living space and very well equipped. The sauna was a real bonus!

The kitchen area it is not so clean. The furniture in the dining area need replacement.

The house in Kornhóll was perfect and really made us feel at home. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and even more. The sauna outside was just great after a day outdoors. Communication with Gunnar and Birgit was very easy and friendly. Would love to come back!

If I were to find a negative it’s that it could have been a little cleaner. Overall it was fine but kitchen floor and shower area could do with a little sparkle.

Great layout, ample and comfortable for a family of four. Great to have washing machine and tumble drier. Decent coffee machine and all the kitchen facilities you might need. Sauna was a real bonus.

Could have been cleaner at some point (eg. Kitchen, bathroom), especially considering the note that asks you to clean up the kitchen yourself and remove the bed coversheets after yourself when leaving. I’d rather leave it for the cleaners, not the guests, because that can make a difference.

Big place to spend if you are travelling with family. Organized, you can find everything you need for e.g. Cooking etc. so very well equiped. Also hand built sauna, green area, lot of place makes this just more comfortable.

It was actually very warm inside so we had to keep some windows open which was tricky for sleeping since it’s daylight all the time.

We had a great stay. I even looked to see if it was free for one more night. Easy, comfortable, spacious and clean! It’s somewhat remote but the view is fantastic and you’re likely driving everywhere anyway. Perfect for a couple or a family.
