This is a really convenient, clean hotel with an excellent staff and small, hot, noisy rooms.

Our room was SO HOT (all hotels in Iceland seem to have hot rooms) and we couldn't keep the window open because we were right on the street. One room was at street level so they definitely found it to be noisy. The rooms were very small but were fine for our needs. We just wish it could have been a bit quieter and cooler.

The staff was really wonderful and the free coffee/tea/hot chocolate all day and night was a bonus! Our rooms were clean and the location was wonderful - we had a view of the church from one of our rooms. Check-in and checkout were both very easy and the staff provided recommendations for local restaurants.

A single room was smaller than a college dorm. The shower/toilet/sink were altogether in a miniscule space by American standards. Set your expectations accordingly. Breakfast was European continental with a nice selection of fruit, various breads, a small selection of ham and cheese, and some cereals. It wasn't substantial but it worked.

The location of the hotel couldn't be better.

No elevator and we were on the 4th floor. Staff is very willing to help with bags, though. Fourth floor rooms are in the attic with a roof line indwelled in the room. I hit my head on the ceiling several times. Ceiling painted black, which made it very hard to see.

Room 302 doesn't have good wifi connection. The room cleaning wasn't perfect, I was bothered to find hair on the side table and in the shower before I even used it. Wish I'd known beforehand that the hot water smelled sulfur. (maybe there was a note, but I didn't see it when I booked). It would be even better if they could also provide hot water that doesn't smell sulfur.

The location was excellent. Staff were not overly friendly but they gave us all the necessary information.

The room was cozy but extremely small, I could barely fit alone. The bathroom was mini, kind of like that of a caravan or boat cabin. It was quite old and the finishes were of really poor quality. Definitely not up to standards for a three star hotel!

Great location, and I had a lovely view from my windows over Reykjavík's harbor.

The guests next door left their wet and stinky hiking boots outside their door making the closed and small hallway smell horrendous. We told the staff and they agreed that it shouldn't be done, but they were unable/unwilling to correct the situation. It was very unpleasant. Warning: no elevators. We left the door hanger asking for privacy because we didn't want maid service, but the room was cleaned in our absence anyway.

Location is amazing. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was nice.

We were in the annex across the street, in a basement room with windows at sidewalk level. Street noise from drunk tourists was very high one night, and zero the other night.

Unbeatable central location, with free public parking a couple of blocks away. Good breakfast and friendly reception. Fair value for money in an Icelandic context.

I stayed in a solo/single room, and it was small, but very acceptable for my needs. For the price paid and value, it felt high, but Iceland is expensive, so perhaps this is normal. I was there for 5 nights and wished for some door/bathroom hooks to hang some items. Since it’s a small room, having some places to hang things would be helpful. I got a few extra hangers, but with all the layers and jackets needed in Iceland, there was a lack of space to hang things. Hooks on doors would have been an easy solution.

Location was excellent. Good breakfast offering. Nice staff. Clean hotel. But it’s a budget level hotel, so be flexible.

The property is small, typical of European hotels.

The location was excellent. Walkable throughout the entire city. The number eight bus stop was right across the street. We picked up our tour bus there there and the Airport Shuttle. So convenient to have breakfast at the hotel. The staff was excellent thank you to Maria and Leonardo for leading the way and answering our questions and giving us the information about the area and the tours.

It’s very common for Europe but the rooms are very small and no where to put the luggage, since we were coming off a cruise we had larger luggage pieces. So, something to think about if staying here. You don’t need much anyway.

Location is exception, directly across from the church. Very clean and very personable. Nice coffee/tea bar down in the reception area all day and night. I definitely appreciate this option.
