The setting is great but I would improve the overall situation around. Cabin is functional but looks pretty dated.

Good place to stop on the route. From the cabin you can see the fjord. The location is very peaceful even if there are some constructions around. The cabin was very clean and it had anything we needed for the night.

There was an occasional sewer smell from the bathroom- we kept the door closed. Bathroom could do with a spray of bleach to address some mildew, however if the facility is on septic, that could explain lack of bleach.

Friendly dog! Beautiful view. Quiet, even considering that it’s just off route #1. Comfortable beds and good kitchenette.

Light in bathroom wouldn’t turn off. Weird shower - no soap dish, confusing fixture. The only communal space was the kitchen with wimpy chairs or stools.

That we didnt make more time there. And one small thing. wish beds were pushed together in one room for husband and I but not sure if it was possible.

The location was gorgeous! The farm next to it with all the sheep was great and there were lots of babies! The farmer let us look around and showed us all of the lambs and mama sheep. Cool experience. The owner lives next door to the place and her instructuons were easy and accurate on checkin. We saw her outside enjoying the view and weather. Unfortunately we got there late and didnt get to enjoy it more. It has a small kitchen which was perfect for us for making breakfast and lunch and storing our groceries.

We were only staying overnight and arrived late. We could not immediately find the guest house as it was dark but the host saw us and showed us where to go.

The kitchen facilities are minimal but we have already anticipated it. Toilet may not be suitable for people with a bigger build.

A great overnight stopover for travellers going between the north and southeast. Although it's located just along the ring road, the environment is very quiet, with the occasional vehicles passing by. The cabin may be small but it makes it up for its warmth and cosiness. View of Berufjörður is great. The scenic Öxi pass is just nearby, should you wish to explore the immediate vicinity.

There were bare wires hanging from the kitchen light. Also, there was no light bulb in one of the fixtures in the bedroom. The smoke detector had been removed and not replaced (the bracket was still there) and there was no fire extinguisher - only a fire blanket for the kitchen. Definitely some safety concerns.

Lovely fjord view. Unit was small, but clean and functional. Kitchen was adequately equipped to prepare a simple meal. Beds were comfortable but the pillows were flat - could certainly do with a refresh.

This place is right off highway 1. It's very conveniently located. It's clean. The deco and facility are a little bit simple comparing with the previous two places we stayed. It's still a very good place to stay. The views are nice.

The view of the fjord from the window is simply wonderful! We messed up the check-in through our own fault. This would certainly not have happened with a personal welcome. The guesthouse is a bit old and could do with a renovation. It offers 5 beds, but the rooms are quite small and there is little space for luggage. The small kitchen-living room is quite cramped for five people. Cooking for 5 people was no problem, but there is not enough space to eat all together. The bathroom is also a bit cramped and the toilet is too close to the shower wall. The tap water smells of sulphur.

One flat pillow per bed, toilet ran which was annoying to listen to especially at night. Garage/machine shop on the property (outside the side window) was quite unsightly. Booked for 3 adults but had to figure out how to set up the futon late at night when we arrived, as it wasn't set up in advance. No shelf in shower and many previous guest's bottles were between the shower and wall where they were dropped and never retrieved. Futon mattress was only okay but for the one night it was fine.

Good location, cozy cabin, easy check in. Good communication from host, view front and back was really pretty.
