Everything about the house and whole booking process was fantastic. Don't hesitate to book this place! The house was spacious, impressively well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms large and well appointed. The location and view were wonderful. We had amazing views of the stars at night, and saw the northern lights 4 nights in a row by simply stepping out onto the back deck! (there is a lot of glow from the lights from the greenhouses in the surrounding area, but that's only a problem when there are clouds to reflect it!). A beautiful house that added to to our amazing Icelandic experience.

This very spacious villa meets all the requirements of modern comfort and the beautiful location on the river is the icing on the cake. Spacious sitting area, spacious dining room, sufficiently spacious rooms, modern and hygienic bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped with all modern and well-functioning appliances. You can't imagine it or it's there! We could also enjoy the hot tub, which should have a new lid ... The location in Laugaras is excellent for visiting The Golden Circle. We could only dream of such a stay and that dream has become reality!

It was a little bit warm inside the house in the beginning, but staff explained us how to lower the temperature. Also the temperature of water in hot tube was to low in the first evening, but this also was fixed by the staff next day. So thanks a lot, we had a great time.

Modern and beautiful villa with everything you need. Great kitchen with a lot of cooking tools, 3 coffee machines, oven, microwave and all other thing you need. Big and comfortable beds, warm hot tube that fix up to 8 people and has a great view on river. Big backyard, new BBQ facility, great location and very friendly staff.

Perfect location if you prefer having a quiet and undisturbed stay, you love being surrounded by beautiful nature, and you want to visit all the best places near the Golden Circle without rushing through them!

We loved staying in this cabin and it was perfect for our two young families. The river view was stunning and it was lovely hearing the geese come and go during the day. The hot tub was a wonderful place to enjoy the view and also to see the northern lights from, also made more enjoyable that it is ready to use at all times. Out & About: Perfect base, near to the golden circle, kerid crater, the secret lagoon, and great for going further east to the waterfalls (Skogafoss & Seljalandsfoss - latter is lit up at night too), plane wreck and Vik. We even ventured as far as Jokulsarlon ice lagoon and the diamond beach (four hours drive) which was incredible to see. We were recommended the local pool in Selfoss and it was a great place for children and adults alike - the kids loved the outdoor slides (even though it was chilly!), the diving boards and the kids pools and floats. There is also a play park in Laugaras with a zip wire where the children enjoyed playing, only a five minute walk from the cabin. Practicalities: Two shower rooms (one en-suite) and four bedrooms (with super comfy beds) worked perfectly for the nine of us. Plenty of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toilet roll, kitchen roll and cleaning products available in the property. Tonnes of ground coffee available and a really good coffee machine. High chair and travel cot with comfy mattress, duvet, pillow and linen available on request. Washing machine available to use if you bring your own washing liquid / tabs, and tumble dryer too. Hosts: Elín & Börkur were easy to contact and responded quickly to any queries and were on hand to help during our stay but we were otherwise left to our own devices after they had provided some really useful pre-arrival information. We will definitely be back to stay there again, thank you!
