Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandTap water in the complex is sulfury and rather undrinkable so please have your own drinking water with you (there was none there). The location is still not on the map so make sure to be there before dark or you may have difficulty to find it (it is further, at the end of a road indicated on google maps with big eagles on the gate). There is not enough trash bins for segregation. I would suggest the administrator to provide all required information one day before check-in as some of the information I read only after check-out.
Great housing complex. Modern, clean and cozy, in the middle of quiet fields. Equipped with essentials.

United StatesThe place was great. Just a little small for a 2 year old to run around inside :)
The property was nice and secluded. A little dar from selfoss down a gravel road.

United KingdomWe loved the space and the location was ideal. The cabins were very clean and equipped with everything you may need. The host was very responsive and we would recommend the cabins without doubt. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

SloveniaToo much emphasis on waste separation. We have no problem with separation (we also separate them at home)! However, if someone wants waste separation for six groups, then they should prepare 6 different bins, not order that a guest who is in Iceland for the first time should look for group waste islands in the neighborhood. While the other guests don't separate their waste at all ;(.
Up-to-date communications. Modern and clean accommodation. Recommended, if you want to stay for several days near the Golden Circle.Precise access instructions, everything else without any comments.

United StatesWe didn't like that there were flies and spiders, we must've killed at least 20 flies. Also, we had a hard time opening the door to one of the cabins. There wasn't a place to congregate, one cabin had a sofa but the other one had the table. Also, the 3rd sleeping area was separate and uncovered so it is very dangerous for the elderly and kids. We weren't sure exactly which cabins were ours since there were 4 separate cabins. There were no instructions for anything. The dryer didn't work properly, it gave us an error to drain the water but there was no water. It was midnight so we didn't want to bother the host.
We liked the hot tub eventhough we had to fill it everyday. The host was very responsive to our questions

United StatesGaining access was very difficult. We called the Greenkey host and they acted like we were idiots. They had clearly never been to the property. There were MANY doors and MANY locks. After finally getting inside, it was sweltering. No AC, of course, and the giant wall of windows makes you feel exposed and creates an indoor oven. This is probably nice in winter. It was awful in July. If you rent the entire "villa" (HA! More like "Amazon build-a-house), some of your party will need to walk outside to get to and from their bedroom and the main house. Inconvenient in the rain, I wouldn't do it in winter or with young children. Not enough towels, one small one per guest. Refrigerator was never cold enough despite turning it to the lowest setting. Instructions for sorting trash arrived on day 4. Outside trash containers were overflowing on day 1.
Quiet. Selfoss is a good central location for a few days.

NetherlandsThe shower smelled like sulfur but you get used to it. The oven is nice but there were no oven mitts or baking paper, would be nice. The smoke detector kept going off because there was no hood for cooking. Luckily the owner could stop the sound.
Modern, clean and super new! Beautiful silent surrounding. We saw the Northern lights on our first evening. The beds were very comfortable (be aware, one room has a double bed and one room has a single bed). Selfoss and many things to visit nearby.

PortugalJust a small issue, as we had requested a cot and when we arrived the cot wasn’t at the property (despite the property having confirmed that it would be there) and the beds are not big enough to have a little baby sleeping with the parents. The cot was then delivered the day after our arrival.
The location, the space available, the amenities were great. Super quiet place with everything needed for a wonderful stay.

United KingdomUnpractical layout, didn’t want to leave my children in a separate part of the house. Hot tub wasn’t working , which was a massive disappointment as it was the reason we booked the lodge. We won’t be returning
The property was modern.
