Our room is close to the trashcan, so we had a couple of flies in the room.

    The location is very good!

Nothing - it was perfect for a family of 4!

Property was exceptionally clean, beds and bedding were very comfortable, location was excellent and breakfast was great and included! This property and location is close to Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, Vik and all of the south coast sites. A 10 out of 10!

    Nothing, everything was amazing

There was an option of having a dinner (lamb soup, vegetarian soup or pizza) which was really nice, especially after a long day of travelling. The whole place was beautiful and clean. The room was spacious and had a view of the waterfall. There was a welcome cake and unlimited tea/coffee included in the price which was a really sweet gesture. The breakfast was sufficient and quite nice (continental breakfast - cheese, ham, vegetables, yoghurt, jams, oats, doughnuts, etc.)

Nothing. If you don't like sharing this is not your place but if you like the vibe of fellow travellers this is amazing.

We chose the location becuase we had a few short adbventures planned in the area so it was a good central location. It exceeeded our expectations basically becuase of the welcome and the feel of the place; it made me feel really welcome; it was the only place we stayed two nights during our 10 day sfari all around iceland and I have absolutely no regrets. The value for money is astounding and with the quality of the service it was like home.

Kitchen and dining room are in different floors. Kitchen can only be used until 21:30h because there are rooms next to the kitchen. Some of the other guests in our room were a bit noisy but this is not hostel's fault.

Waterfall views from the hostel, delicious welcome cake, very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice facilities... Very recommended!

It is a hostel so don't expect a luxury hotel stay. Iceland is expensive. We paid 210 dollars for our hostel room which does seem pricy as there was no private bath.

For a hostel, this was a good experience. The room was clean and beds had clean linens. Room was small. As advertised, the bathroom was separate. Hostel was full when we visited so we had to select a breakfast time. Breakfast provided a number of choices but nothing hot other than beverages. They texted me about a dinner option the morning of our visit. As we had plans to sightsee until late evening we did not take advantage of it. Hot beverages available in common room. Alcoholic beverages available when desk is staffed (which was 10 pm on our visit). Really beautiful location. Convenient to Selingsfoss as well. You must remove your shoes and store at entrance so if you don't want to walk around in socks or barefoot bring flip-flops

Breakfast was minimal, and it was crowded since everyone wanted to eat early and get back on the road.

Loved the proximity to Selljalandsfoss. Was able to visit the waterfall late in the day as well as early in the morning, thus avoiding the crazy summer crowds.

An option for a room with private bathroom would’ve been great. (But never had any issues getting into the shared ones.) A bit pricey… but it’s Iceland…

Wonderful property, with a waterfall in the back yard! Breakfast was amazing, and included. And the lamb soup (extra cost) was absolutely delicious! (We had it 2 out of 3 nights!) The all day (free!) coffee machine was an absolute blessing, and the welcome cake was homemade and yummy. Can’t fault this place, would love to have stayed longer.

You basically need a car to get here and get anywhere from here. The do have kitchen for cooking you own food but there, but be aware that you have to make sure you have everything before you get there since there is nothing around from where you can buy stuff.

Nice beds, fine breakfast. Wonder full staff. The possibility to have them serve you a simple but good dinner as well as the possibility to buy some beer/wine. Overall a great place to stay.

I would not say "I did not like it" but if I have to mention something is that all the showers were on the opposite section of where our bedroom was located and you had to pass through the breakfast area to get there so you will pass through all the people on your way to/from the shower but... it's a guesthouse... so not a big deal for a night or two.

Location was perfect. It's located in the Golden circle route very close to Skógafoss waterfall and other sightseeing spots. It has it's own waterfall at the back mountain which makes it so wonderful and the guesthouse itself is very clean and has everything you need. They reached before our arrival to check if we wanted dinner and we ended up having dinner both nights, they offered either traditional lamb soup or pizza, which was pretty good! Our room was really spacious and beds were comfy. Surprisingly, it was also very quiet, we did not hear any noises despite being close to other rooms and facing the front door. Breakfast was simple but correct and staff was really helpful and friendly. 100% recommend!

The bathroom was a bit far from my room. Adding an extra washbasin somewhere would be helpful, as you otherwise have to wait for one of the two nearby full bathrooms. These are just minor observations, though—I generally liked the place.

Pleasant surroundings, an optimally sized room, friendly and helpful staff, a good breakfast, high cleanliness standards and a convenient parking space
