Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOur room had a few quirks; the door handle fell off, our toilet would continue to run unless the flusher was pressed twice, and the roller shade made an odd shaking sound for about 15 seconds after the window was opened. Once we learned how to navigate around these things, we felt right at home.
Made for an excellent stay during our time in Reykjavik on a recent friends trip. The location was great, not a far walk from downtown, and in a decently upscale area with a Kronan nearby for groceries. The room felt modern and clean (the shower was wonderful) and the included breakfast was always something to look forward to starting our day with. Appreciated being able to park here onsite as well. Would stay here again.

United StatesThe shades in our room were broken and could not be lowered. It was difficult to address since there is no regular front desk staff present at the hotel.
Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Considering the overall cost of food in Iceland we appreciated the breakfast before starting our day

United StatesThere was some damage along the walls to the room when we arrived, and we had no person to ask any questions. No matter what time we looked, we never say someone at the front desk. There was minimal breakfast options, but no one actually checked to see if you'd paid for that as part of your booking, and it certainly was not worth the hefty price they charged for it.
Check in and check out were easy, the room was clean and ready when we arrived. I'd say this is a great hotel if all you're looking for is a place to sleep and put your things while you're exploring the country the rest of the day.

DenmarkVery hot rooms during the summer days and nights. A cieling fan or similar would have been nice. Also, fix the key-pad at the main entrance, as this would only work after 10 attempts or so😣

AustraliaAdvertised a fridge in room but there was none. A bit tight on room for two people, had to move the twin beds away from each other as they were set up side-to-side.
Room was modern but cosy and very warm. Good to have a private bathroom. Breakfast was a highlight - warm buffet options along with cereal and pickled fish. Parking in front of building and side streets was free and could always find a spot. Several minutes walking to supermarket and bank.

ItalyThe breakfast buffet was a little small for a hotel. Unfortunately, there was no option to store the luggage in a secure room after check-out. It could only be left at the reception area, which was accessible to everyone.
The room was beautiful and quiet.

AustraliaThe location is sort of inconvenient as it's not in the main city area, but it's only a short bus ride to the city, so that's fine. There was one lady working there who I did not see smile once in the four days we were there. The rooms also only have a small window that opens and unfortunately, we were there on the hot days in Iceland (I didn't know Iceland had hot days!)
The hotel was comfortable, clean and had a lift :) The room was bright, and the shower was awesome! Breakfast is provided, and the dining room area is nice- there also seems to be books available to borrow while you're staying. The wifi is rapid and easy to connect to. The rooms are warm, which is often required in Iceland.
