We don’t really have anything negative to point out.

Nice hotel located in a quiet area, with parking right at the door. The room had some charm and all the necessary amenities. There is an outdoor jacuzzi, although we didn’t end up using it. The price is not too high (and includes breakfast), which considering the standards in Iceland makes it a very good option.

we booked a "small room", and it was REALLY small (to be fair, everything was according to the description on the booking platform). Breakfast selection could have been slightly better.

check-in is very uncomplicated. You get an e-mail with the code for the room, and no matter what time you arrive you'll be able to immediately go into your room without any issues. Location is good - it's about a 10 minute drive from Akureyri, up on a hill, with great views of the fjord. Perfect choice for a quick and easy stop along the ring road

It took me a minute though to figure out that the door code needed to be input on a screen on the door handle which only becomes apparent when you touch the word “card” 🤷‍♀️ The tea bags and coffee sachets were stored in the mugs which hadn’t been dried well enough which meant the bags and sachets were a bit damp.

Lovely clean little room with its own private entrance. Little outdoor table and chairs for use right outside the room was a nice touch. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good blackout curtains. Nice bathroom. Lovely continental-style breakfast.

My suggestion: take time maintaining the exterior of the hotel, trimming, painting and mowing.

Bathroom wall tiles were heavily stained in yellow. Likewise the floor tiles had been painted at some point and that was coming up too so didn’t look nice. Shower stall was also stained at the bottom. Bedding - there were black marks on the duvet cover, not sure if mould or something else but didn’t like sleeping with them. Other guests were exceptionally noisy past 1am so we didn’t get much sleep. Not sure if they were in the same corridor as us or in the bar area (meant to be closed at 11) were not sure but didn’t sleep well because of those girls giggling the entire night. Overall, this is my sixth stay at hotel north, I think the rooms need a lick of paint and a deeper clean and they’d be good to go again, and staff actually being in the building and removing guests from the bar area when it should be closed would be good

Good size rooms, comfortable beds, fairly modern facilities, hot tub was actually hot, toiletries came with both shampoo and conditioner (a rarity). Bathrobe, slippers all included. Lovely breakfast options.

However, my co-worker faced difficulties moving around the hotel since he is disable. Despite requesting a special room to ensure easy access from the car to the hotel, reaching the breakfast area was still a challenge.

I had a great stay at this hotel in Akureyri, and the breakfast was excellent. The panoramic view of the city was truly breathtaking. The facilities were newly renovated, which added to the comfort of the experience. Overall, it’s a great place to stay, but better accessibility would make it even better.

No restaurant facilities when we visited in the last week of September, even though most rooms appeared occupied. There is a bar in the lounge, but nobody to serve drinks!

Great out of town location with fantastic views. Quiet hotel with lots of potential if it had a least one member of staff at the premises in the evening.

The Hotel does not have staff available to assist you 24/7, although a 24/7 telephone number is indicated for situations, this is not the case! I upgraded the room just because of the availability of a fan, due to reviews that the rooms were hot, we realized the room didn't have one and called and no one was able to resolve the situation. The room only had a 1'x1' window, it was very hot and when you opened the little window, the room was filled with mimes.

The accommodation was for one night, very clean and quiet. The room was very comfortable with a nice view of the lake and mountains. The breakfast is very complete and it is very easy to get to the accommodation. The young woman who served us at breakfast was very friendly and attentive.
