Negative: i did get the sense that it's all quite design focussed / instagram ready, instead of having a focus on what a traveller needs. Coffee and tea are sparse, bring your own. There is no space for cooking or preparing food in your room. It's all quite minimal design and i wouldnt stay here for more than a day, max two because in the end you travel from early morning to evening and when you come to the hotel you want your comfort (room size, fridge, coffee, tea, cooking).

Positive: The design is without a doubt very, very beautiful. The spa, sauna and lounge room are very welcome luxuries after a day of travel. Whoever designed the interiors deserves a prize for taste and execution. Has a once in a lifetime feel to it. Summary: if you want to treat yourself or your loved one to something special, or have a special pccassion, go for it. The hottub and sauna are quite unique and the design is impeccable. If you want easy comfort and no thrills relaxation after a day of hiking, choose something different.

The frosted glass door on the bathroom wasn’t great for the 24 hours of daylight. The blackout curtains in the cabin worked great, and then you have a light source that isn’t blocked.

The cabins are beautiful inside and out. We loved the sauna and hot tub. We loved that it felt like the middle of nowhere. We hung out in the lounge for a bit. The views were spectacular, everywhere. This place is a dream.

It was such a cool experience to stay in these houses. The beds were so comfortable, and the location was great. Our kids loved running up and playing on the nearby hill and exploring the surrounding areas. Hot tub and steam rooms were great! Definitely recommend opening a night or two here!

We decided to cook in the kitchen and there were a few key items that would have been nice such as a colander, spatula and additional utensils. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was unique, remote and in a serene setting of Iceland. The rooms were very clean and the amenities like the kitchen, games and speaker were perfect. The sauna and hot tub were amazing. The WiFi worked well. We were able to spend some really good quality time together as a family.

It was a bit difficult to find. Some more signage would have helped.

Beautiful furnishings. The scenery was amazing - so relaxing and peaceful. The staff was exceptional - very friendly and so helpful with activities. The hot tub and sauna were so relaxing after a full day of walking and exploring. It was a bit hard to find the property using GPS because it was trying to stop us earlier on the road, but luckily I knew what the place looked like and knew the first mirrored house we passed was not the right one. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. A fabulous view of the volcano!

This was by far the most amazing hotel I have ever been. The location and landscapes are out of this world. Everything was perfect. Suggest guests to bring their own food and drinks, as there are facilities to cook in the room and nowhere nearby to shop. We are still sad we had to leave lol

The only thing to mention is that the road getting there in the winter is a little dicey, so definitely get a 4x4 with winter tires.

Honestly, the entire thing was amazing! You not only get your fully equipped box, but you also have an access to a lounge, sauna and a hot tub. Everything worked really well and it was super comfortable. The views are of course amazing.

Location was amazing. The place was pure luxury, from the beautiful crockery to the soft bedding. Warm and comfy. Staff/Owners were respectful and there if you needed anything at all.

Only one large Towel per person is not enough. You can not open a window and there is no dish washer, you have to clean everything by Hand without a spoon. There Was only a used brush. The cutlery wasn't really clean when we arrived. That's quite unhygienic. No mirror in the bathroom.

If there was a way to darken the bathroom at night, it was very bright and let in too much light. Also, we had to open the front door for some air flow.

Great stay-very peaceful. Clean and the bed was great. Loved the rain shower head and the decor. The overall vibe was wonderful- I would highly recommend!
