The only thing that would have made the stay even more perfect is if the room would have had a fridge. But they were very accommodating and provided us ice for our cooler both at night and the next morning. That was greatly appreciated, and we didn't miss the fridge at all.

The whole experience was lovely. From the friendly and helpful staff to the large, clean room, to the delicious breakfast with extensive selection. They had a very detailed binder in the room which gave a lot of information and several details regarding the hotel itself and surrounding areas. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone staying in the Husavik area.

Breakfast could be better, lacking variety. The hotel is located a bit far from Húsavík and Mývatn—about 25 minutes to Húsavík and nearly an hour to Mývatn.

It was a pleasure to stay there. Obviously, the hotel is a family run business and it shows in every single detail. From the very friendly welcome to the possibilty to stay in the main building for the evening where there is a large offering of books to read and family games to play as well as the cute cat - we loved everything. We were offered freshly home made cookies and other snacks for free. The breakfast was gorgeous: it left no desires unfullfilled : vegetables, fruits, home-made bread, marmelade as well as cake & cookies. We were sad to only stay for one night and would definitely return!

Literally the only thing was that a tour bus was parked in front of the hot tubs which blocked the gorgeous view.

Absolutely stunning location and property. The staff were so friendly, the complimentary breakfast was unreal, the décor was charming, the cats were adorable, and the hot tub was a perfect place to spend the evening. We had the most magical night and definitely recommend staying here. We were sad to leave.

We stayed for 3 nights which meant we’d tried most of the menu.

The location is amazing for wildlife watching and fishing. Staff very helpful for where to go for both activities. Convenient for Húsavík whale watching. Absolutely loved staying there and didn’t want to leave! The room was very spacious and clean with a great view over the valley.

This is our second time staying here and we must say we really love this place. The rooms are big, clean and comfy. The wonderful people that own and take care of the hotel are really nice, friendly and accomodating. The breakfast is one of the best ( possibly THE best ) we've had in Iceland, it has a lot of things that are home made and absolutely tasty. It's also a great spot for northern lights viewing. Bonus: their cat, Grima, is a sweatheart! In conclusion we highly recommend this hotel and we can't wait to be back!

The proprietor greeted us warmly at check in. He presented a very friendly first impression, and made dinner reservation for us. The room was very spacious, comfortable, clean, quiet (as we were in the country) and tastefully appointed. The bathroom was big and clean, and all the fixtures functioned perfectly. Breakfast was well presented and offered a good selection.
