The Noise from the night life

The perfect location to explore Reykjavík! Our room was spacious and beautiful, and close to everything. Beds were comfortable, and it was so easy to check in.

Very noisy all night because of the restaurant below the window.

It was in the centre of town The kitchen facilities were good.

The lack of staff,there was no one to answer questions ,we ran out of toilet paper and couldn't get more even though l messaged them to ask for more,the bathroom looked old and dingy and the noise at night was so loud that we got no sleep,our room was above a very loud bar with live music playing into the early hours and then the noise from the street below was horrendous, nowhere was the noise level mention when booking this hotel,the first time we realised it might be an issue was when we arrived and saw that they supplied earplugs. We got no sleep for the 2nights we were there,also the late check in was a problem as we had a very early morning flight but couldn't chk in until 3pm l requested an early chk in but was told my request was denied.would not recommend this hotel.

The location is great.

What made the ratings: The bathroom was as stinky as a sewage, disgusting and unbearable. Minor issues: the main ceiling light was not working, there are no hooks in the bathroom, not even for the shower towel.

A bit noisy at nighttime

Very loud noises in the night from the nearby pub. Impossible to get a good night rest.

The local was very central, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The sliding door to the bathroom was very difficult to open and close because the wheels were off track. There was no where in the bathroom to hang towels or place any toiletries. There were no spoons for tea. The link as a form of checkout was creative but easy to forget.

Centrally located.

The parking is about 15 min away. No on street parking. No staff on site. Customer service is snarky and unhelpful. The windows didn’t open which made it difficult to vent from the shower. When they sent someone to fix it they smashed the window and left glass everywhere while we were out. They wanted us to pack up and move rooms at 11 pm at night. Not thrilled.

The location is great. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The room and bathroom are spacious. The nespresso machine & mini fridge are two of the most important things I look for and both worked great. The shower has excellent water pressure and shower heads.

The pillows were awful. They need to be upgraded. The amenities listed were "Air Conditioning", which is false. I checked into my room on a warm sunny day and it was hot inside because of the direct light. There's no thermostat and no air conditioning. Only one window opens 4 inches, so you can barely get fresh air in the room. If you want a quiet night sleep, forget it. Bars are directly across, underneath, and next to the building. Unless you stay up till 2-5am, you better take some sleeping pills.

Great location, room was great and really good communication and quick replies to any queries! Bar downstairs is noisy but it quieted down by 11pm so that wasn’t too bad. Luggage storage was also great to have access to on day of checkout! :)

Really comfortable, great location. Simple check in / check out process. Everything worked. We feel very well rested.

Even on the 5th floor you could feel the bass from the bar, but being from a bigger (louder) city it wasn’t as bothersome

There was trash in the lobby. The bathrooms smelt of sewage. Faulty fire alarms. No staff on hand.
