An absolute value! This is the best accommodation we had on our nine night stay in Iceland, each night in a different property. I was able to cook since there is a full kitchen. The breakfast provided was an excellent addition! I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Iceland! I highly recommend this place!

Great location, unbeatable value for money, very well organized

We liked everything about this stay. The owner checked us in when we arrived and was pleasant and helpful. The rooms are nice. It was good value for an Iceland stay. Halfway around the golden loop and fairly close to Gillfoss Waterfall. The roads up to the home were all paved. Other guests also stayed in the house. We were not disturbed by them. There were two shared bathrooms with showers. Breakfast in the morning was nice with bread and jelly options and some simple cereal options.

Great location for a first night. Friendly host. Comfortable room, well equipped shared kitchen.

DIY breakfast supplies were rather basic - cereal, bread, packet ham and cheese.

Skyggnir B&B was clean, great location for the Golden Circle, and exactly as described. Having access to a kitchen and living room was a bonus and made the place very comfortable.

Incredibly friendly and informative hosts, great location just off the beaten track. Very well-equipped kitchen; breakfast had everything we needed, bathrooms were clean and beds were comfortable. This property and its owners have a very personal touch - read the guest book, it’s a treat. As mentioned by others, no frills but we weren’t in need of any. Very much a homely highlight of our trip - would stay again 100%! Thank you for a really lovely night!

Cleanliness could be better, our room was a bit dusty

You can’t beat the price in that area, owner is nice and kind, fresh linen and towels, basic breakfast but good enough, nice location near to attractions, feels like they are doing their best with available resources

Rooms are bit smaller but I can’t complain for that price in Iceland

The room was nice and comfortable with a big mirror, hangers and night tables. The breakfast was pretty basic, but honestly anything you might you need to start your day (bread, butter, jam, cheese, toaster, coffee, yoghurt with cereal etc.). The owner met us when we arrived and showed us around.

There are 2 bathrooms in the guesthouse and the only thing that I would say was "mid" was the showers. The shower cabin was really small, if I wanted to wash my hair, it would've been challenging.

Very nice and cosy place to stay at the Golden Circle. The owner is helpful, the breakfast is basic (but it is stated) but it's good enough to start the day. The owner also has a beautiful and friendly horse on the other side of the road that you can pet.

Friendly hosts! Great value for money

The owner was very welcoming and hospitable, we enjoyed talking to him and explore the surroundings with his friendly dog and horse. We loved staying here at the countryside.
