Great location where we could walk to eat, get groceries and to enjoy evening drinks at local cocktail bar. Ample room for a group of 5 adults. Big plus was the washing machine/dryer combo so we were able to wash clothes.

Gem in East - small town with harbor and history, hiking tracks, restaurants plus excellent place to stay. Spacious and well equipped place, where our family would have wanted to stay for longer. Furniture and interior design was so nice, cosy and all details seemed to be considered to be suitable for this area.

I can't remember staying in a rental for a long term that required a thorough cleaning like this one: there were hairs in the bathroom sink, dust on the railings at the base of the stairs, and other areas as well. Only superficially did the apartment appear clean. The bath towels looked and felt like kitchen towels - not at all soft and fluffy!

The location was ideal, the apartment was spacious, and it would have been perfect for a family due to the numerous beds available. The paint colors and the furniture in the upstairs living area were appealing. There were lots of oils, condiments, teas, hot chocolate, etc. to choose from - all welcome for short-term guests.

The downstairs layout (where the bedrooms and the bathroom is located) is a little weird and there are sometimes cruise ship passengers walking by windows down there. The bed is on the softer side.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a cute place with lots of room to spread out, and the location in town was excellent. It was wonderful to be able to look at a waterfall while cooking and washing dishes. Parking is easy and the communication with the host was good.

This is a cute one bedroom. The upstairs has a couch that you could sleep on but no dark out curtains and the kitchen we cooked in. Downstairs has two twin beds and full bed. The bathroom has a washer: dryer combo. This was our mid trip laundry stop. The town is cute and walkable.

the setup of bedrooms is a bit weird with no separation except for a curtain and two beds basically in the stairwell. Having to pay "outside" of the booking environment also felt weird and not reassuring

We loved this apartment, it was more like a house with its two floors. Especially considering how tiny places are in Iceland & it was good value. Spacious, comfortable, quiet, very nicely furnished & well equipped (though a microwave would have been good). Good view over the village & mountains. We didn’t meet the owner but the notes were fine

It was quite hard to find the exactly location to park because the email sent had a place to park but the photo sent was taken from a different angle we were looking, anyway, we parked the car where we thought it was the spot. The instruction was to set the floor heating temperature and wait for a while because there was a delay, but we couldn’t get the house warm in the evening, it was showing 26 degrees but I had long sleeves on. In the morning it was roasting, and we had to open the windows a little bit, so maybe the delay in heating means overnight delay? Neither of these events ruined our experience there. Only the rain ruined it, it rained in the evening until the morning when we left, not the apartment’s fault obviously.

The host sent us instructions before arrival and it was very helpful, I read lots of info about this property so I knew what to expect and I knew there wasn’t a separation between the “rooms” and it didn’t bother me. The apartment was really nice decorated and we felt very comfortable there, we made dinner and breakfast and the kitchen was well equipped. The drive to this apartment was the most beautiful drive of our 10 day trip, I didn’t know we had to drive up the snowy mountain to get down to this city and it was incredible. It’s a pity it was raining when we arrived and we couldn’t go out for a walk in the village and we didn’t see the northern lights, which we were very hopeful to see the lights in this city due to its prime location.

The bed under the stairs squeaked so badly. Was hard for all of us to sleep at all. Thought there was 3 twin beds and 1 full but only 2 twin and 1 full. Must have counted the couch upstairs as 3rd twin?

Location, great space! Cute kitchen. Everything you need. Quaint little town, delicious restaurants nearby. Nice having washer/dryer. Loved the space.

Confusion on arrival as I had to have paid/confirmed via a separate, non-booking mechanism which I was not aware of due to long drive caused no immediate access and need to travel to other building to get key...but it all worked out and after a great burger and black IPA at The Grillo in town, I slept like a baby. Benedikta was very responsive and handled my grouchiness well.

The home is absolutely phenomenal...wish I could have stayed more days. Spacious, well-designed, interesting, comfortable with washer/dryer, heated floors, good beds and well-stocked kitchen close to port and restaurants. One of the best ever in all my global travels

It's spacious and beautiful house. Living room and kitchen at first floor and bed room is at ground. We could meet the story with antique furnitures and some books in Seydisfjordur. This is the best house where I've stayed. "Perfect"
