Excellent location and very clean

Everything was perfect! The cottage was clean and well equipped (oven, stove, pans, microwave, coffee machine, cattle and nice and warm shower). The terrace was nice with the Mountain View. If I knew how amazing the place was, I’d stay more than a night

The house is located in a quiet area with a beautiful view. Equipped with everything what you need. The contact with the host was very good. A few days before the trip, we received detailed information on how to get there.Highly recommended 🙌

The cottage is directly next to the road from Selfoss to Geysir, yet it was super quiet and peaceful. The mattresses were extremely comfortable and the kitchen brand new. We had an issue with the outside facilities but the host was very quick to react and offer an alternative. We were truly sorry to leave after 3 nights.

We were a bit scared because the reviews are not that good, but the cottage was really nice and has everything we needed. The view is amazing. We watched a movie on the television with our Netflix.

It was amazing, the location was really good and we had a really good time. The view out the window was so beautiful. Would definitely book there again.

Perfect quiet spot to enjoy the clear skies and look out for northern lights. The discount at the local hot baths was great and they were well worth the visit.

Sadly when we arrived at the property the cottage we were supposed to stay in was already occupied. A replacement was found which was fine but looked more dated than the original one. Didn’t see inside both so not possible to fully compare.

The cottage is in an isolated area but really close to Laugarvatn where you can get everything you need. It’s really close to Kerid Crater for a “before” the coaches explore. It’s really easy to explore the Golden circle and easy to find. The shower was hot. The kitchen had all the utensils you need with a large fridge. The hot tub was hot and a welcome treat on a cold night.

The cottage is ideal for 2 people. By having a third we lost the couch so our sitting options were the dining room table or the sleeper couch. The main bed is up a small flight of stairs on a mezzanine level- not ideal for the tall. But very comfy.

Location is great. Very good place to see the stars and northern lights. There is no light switch for the outdoor lights but it’s clearly identified on the breaker’s panel.

The hot tub was not on when we arrived. Therefore, it took 2 days to barely go up to 30,5 and we weren’t able to use it.

absolutely avoid this place, we booked for 2 nights for a birthday - received no check in info leading up to our stay, called the host who didn’t answer and when we finally got in touch over imessage he had no clue we were booked to stay so let us in to a dirty, used cottage not cleaned from the last visitors. Smashed plate left on the counter, used towels and used smelly bed sheets. Upon informing him about this he said he already knew that and so moved us into a clean cottage where we stayed for all of 10 minutes before getting a call telling us to leave as other guests were coming to check in. To top it all off he also told us we would have to find somewhere else for the second night of our stay as he had other guests coming, host promised to contact booking.com and issue us a full refund for the hassle so after hearing nothing for 2 days I phoned them myself only to find he never bothered to contact them in the first place. don’t waste your time or money on this place.

All went as we agreed. Instructions are well written, clean, nice and comfortable. Location is also amazing if u want to visit Golden Circle.

Reviews weren't great not long before we stayed, so we were a little nervous & contacted the owner. He was responsive & let us know they'd just taken over & knew of some issues & had already taken measures to fix some things. On arrival it was better than we were expecting & it was a good, all be it cosy with 4 of us, stay.

Good location for visiting the South Coast and the Golden Circle.

There was no hand soap provided, there was no dish soap provided. When I contacted the host he gave us entry codes to another cottage to see if there was any soap in there - whilst the cottage was occupied by other guests! The host said he would sort it out and we never heard from him again. The freezer door wouldn’t close because the freezer was too iced up and needed to be defrosted. The hot water system leaked consistently for the 3 nights we were there, we had to use several towels and a saucepan to manage the leakage. The bedroom is barely big enough to fit the double bed - no room for any luggage.

It was quiet.

This applies to Cottage 4B only. No dish soap in kitchen. No hand soap in bathroom. Cable cord broken off at the connection on the back of the TV, so TV did not work. Hot tub was filthy, with dead insects floating, sand or small stones on all flat surfaces, filter with mud in it. Microwave was plugged into a power strip, which is a fire hazard. Blackout shade next to sofa had the cord tied in a ball. After trying to figure out how to shut the blind, I realized you had to pull it down, but the cord would then work to partially raise it.

The situation

They promise a jaccuzi on the porch and it s an empty extremely dirty old tub. I sent 2 messages upon arrival and after day 1 and no reply whatsoever

Very positive experience, and could be even better if we can watch TV.

Water in the hot tub didn’t change for too long. We had to give it up.
