We were a bit scared because the reviews are not that good, but the cottage was really nice and has everything we needed. The view is amazing. We watched a movie on the television with our Netflix.

Sadly when we arrived at the property the cottage we were supposed to stay in was already occupied. A replacement was found which was fine but looked more dated than the original one. Didn’t see inside both so not possible to fully compare.

Perfect quiet spot to enjoy the clear skies and look out for northern lights. The discount at the local hot baths was great and they were well worth the visit.

The cottage is ideal for 2 people. By having a third we lost the couch so our sitting options were the dining room table or the sleeper couch. The main bed is up a small flight of stairs on a mezzanine level- not ideal for the tall. But very comfy.

The cottage is in an isolated area but really close to Laugarvatn where you can get everything you need. It’s really close to Kerid Crater for a “before” the coaches explore. It’s really easy to explore the Golden circle and easy to find. The shower was hot. The kitchen had all the utensils you need with a large fridge. The hot tub was hot and a welcome treat on a cold night.

Reviews weren't great not long before we stayed, so we were a little nervous & contacted the owner. He was responsive & let us know they'd just taken over & knew of some issues & had already taken measures to fix some things. On arrival it was better than we were expecting & it was a good, all be it cosy with 4 of us, stay.

Water in the hot tub didn’t change for too long. We had to give it up.

Lack of wardrobes and hangers. There aren’t any good supermarket nearby.

Easy to find, detailed instructions from the host, calm place with tranquil views, comfortable beds, all needed in the kitchen.

Theorist of facilities are not accurate. Due to intolerances we had to bring our own food and was relying on there being a microwave (as detailed int he facilities) but there wasn’t one! Disappointing.

The bathroom. The curtain shower smells and i noticed water pools on the bathroom floor after taken shower, not sure if theres a leak. They need to fix the bathroom properly.

The cabin is comfortable though is small. We get to see northern lights while staying there, so its awesome.

Perhaps a little on the rustic side and a very well loved vibe. With the advertisement on the website you’re not sure which cottage you will get and there’s a lot of discrepancy between them.

Great wilderness location with wonderful views. Nice and warm and clean. Good communication from Sula and everything made simple and easy.

Cabin is pretty small

There is VERY little room in the loft with the bed, we both had to lay with our head near the stairs to not feel claustrophobic. We're 5'7" and 6'1" and if you're taller than that, it's not going to be comfortable to sleep up there.

The location can't be beat - remote, but not too far from necessary amenities.

For a family of four with teenagers, the cabin is quite small. Cooking equipment very basic.

Location is great to visit all the Golden Circle attractions. Easy to reach, clear and easy to follow directions provided upfront, self-check-in gives a lot of flexibility regarding the arrival time. Nice view (sunset) and hot tub.

Everything was perfect! The cottage was clean and well equipped (oven, stove, pans, microwave, coffee machine, cattle and nice and warm shower). The terrace was nice with the Mountain View. If I knew how amazing the place was, I’d stay more than a night
