The front doors were not locking properly

The property looked rather nice and it was very cozy, yet stylish. The kitchen was huge and had loads of free food to use. The owner also kept messaging us with updates about activities happening, e.g. the whales sightings in the harbour.

There is no staff, only code for the room. It's and old bank and the transformation is not quite finished. Plastic chairs and matching tables does not fit with the first impression.

Small guesthouse in middle of this small town. Comfortable beds and room. Cosy bohemic atmosphere in the lobby with board games, books and puzzles.

The only two things: 1. the room for 5 is really small with almost no possibility to get there fresh air 2. In the small room it was very difficult to get to the bed down.

The staff is super-helpful. They have informed us prior to our arrival there are the whales just nearby and sent us some info where to find it. The cleaning lady was absolute treasure, she was super-advising where to go and what to see. The guesthouse has really great and extremelly well-equipped kitchen. Be prepared, that the courtyard/garden is real mess yet:-)

This is a relatively new establishment; a former bank being converted to a guesthouse. Great walking area, a short distance to Easter Cave for a rock climbing and ocean view experience, and dock fishing possible. The host is very helpful even providing fishing poles. 😁

It's a lot of beds in the room.

We enjoyed the shared facilities of the guesthouse. Location in town was excellent and walking distance from a gas station store and the hildibrand restaurant.

The room was very very small, it was almost impossible to open the suitcase. But for one night, it was acceptable.

The owner is very kind. Kitchen is large, clean and well equipped. Two bathrooms for 8 rooms seemed a bit too few, but it wasn't problem.

This was my first hostel. Nice room and kitchen. Food was a nice bonus. Hot chocolate and tea would have been nice. Only two bathrooms. If this was full that would have been a problem

The only downside was that we booked a 4person room, but got a 6person room which was a bit cramped.

I would suggest for the building to have a placate with name of the place. We weren´t sure if that is the place. Only when we got closer to it, we could see the name placed in the window.

The place is very nice. The kitchen is very modern and it has everything you need in it. All the info were given before arrival.

The toilets and shower were in the same bathroom and there were only two bathrooms to be shared by 6 rooms.

We arrived a bit late so it was a little awkward getting accustomed to the place -- we only noticed one of the bathrooms and didn't even realize there was a common kitchen area in the back until the next morning. The town was a bit out of the way and smelled like fish, but fortunately the room did not.

Self check-in, which came in handy after a longer-than-expected hike that day. I messaged the property to say I'd be cutting it close and they seemed genuinely more interested in getting me there safely than on time. There was a gas/benzin right across the street and a grocery store at the end of the block.

The doors were really heavy and creaky and when anyone went to the bathroom their door slammed behind them. This made it a little harder to sleep in the morning when others were up moving around. This town was about 30 min off of the Ring Road, so a little out of the way but a pretty and easy drive. There were two bathrooms for about 15-18 people which was a little tight!

The property manager was really easy to communicate with and very responsive to our questions. The kitchen was big and great to cook in with a large fridge. There were plenty of tables for all different groups to eat at the same time. The property is directly across the street from a Vinbudin (liquor store ;) as well as a gas station with provisions. Beautiful small town right on the water! There was a washer AND dryer (hard to find in Iceland). Our 2 rooms both had high ceilings, comfy beds and the whole place was super clean.

We couldn’t figure out how to use the stovetop, so it was great to have the induction burner available. Our room could use more hooks. The walls were a little thin - we could hear snoring next door to us.

While we never met the owner(s) in person, they were very responsive to emails. There was a plumbing issue and it was resolved promptly, and they arranged for guests to get a complimentary breakfast from the business across the street and have bathroom access there, as well. The owner(s) has a pass for guests at the local swimming pool, which was wonderful! We were also able to do laundry.
