The location was perfect! Short distance to the main street in town. The sitting area on the 2nd floor where refreshments were served was a bonus. Everything was very clean!

Staff were a bit unhelpful and angry and the check in time closes really early. bed wasn't super comfy and the tv was very small and in the corner of the room so there may as well not even be one.

This is an excellent well appointed and characterful apartment with everything you need for a most enjoyable stay. Situated next to the old town wall with beautiful views over the magnificent countryside, was a real and much appreciated bonus. We liked it so much that we were sad to leave. Katerina, our host, was extremely helpful and friendly. I can highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect location in the very heart of Pienza, not too far from free parking areas. Lovely town, friendly staff, and good bar breakfast in proper Italian style.

Caterina was most helpful pre-check-in as well as during our three night stay. The restaurant below Al Fierale and 5 Line across the B&B were excellent The breakfast was wonderful and the location excellent for visiting Pienza and the beautiful surrounding Tuscan country side. Highly recommend!

It should not be called a B & B. It was more like an AIRBNB. I was really on my own. As a traveler, I was looking for a place that could give me suggestions on things to do that were not so touristy. This place was no help. A key feature of a B&B is that it includes a breakfast for guests, often a more substantial meal than what you might find at a traditional hotel. For breakfast, we had to walk a couple of blocks to get 1 cup of coffee and 1 sweet or savory. Cost of the breakfast if I was to buy it 3.5 E ($4 US). If I wanted a 2nd cup of coffee, I had to pay for it. Because they are often operated by families or small teams, B&Bs often offer a more personalized and intimate experience than larger hotels. The owner / receptionist was there all of 5 min when I arrived. She wasn't there much more than that my whole visit. The one time I tried to reach her, the phone number didn't work. When I asked about parking, I was told they didn't have any on-site parking, but there was parking close by. She forgot to mention there was a charge of 20 E ($23 US) for that parking and the free parking is about 900 m (1/2 mile) away and only about 20 spaces for the whole town. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

I had a very unfortunate experience with the staff. After arriving they took our passports and then left. Given that we were only staying one night, going out in the evening and leaving early in the morning I wanted to have my passport back. After giving us our room key they left the building. I had to call them to ask for the passports back. They were rude on the phone and then rude in person when they returned to give us our passport back. They seemed very offended that I wanted my passport back again. I never saw a member of staff again, even when trying to check out in the morning (ended up just leaving the key). The building is old but we could hear everything in the other rooms (speaking and the use of the bathroom). This doesn't make for a nice experience when trying to sleep. Given the rudeness of the staff I would not recommend anyone staying here.

Good location to stay. Very central location. There is a avaliability of biscuits made available. Breakfast is at a nearby bar which is a rough 2 minute walk away (voucher for one pastry and a coffee).

A little noisy above the restaurant and the road. Parking tricky. Our host needed to speak quieter- she shouted at us on arrival!! Confusion over the ‘twin’ room. Breakfast was a hot drink and a croissant. This should be stipulated on the booking details.

Good location as right in town. Clean, comfortable, good facilities, beautifully decorated. Lots of character.

Although they were nice, it was difficult to communicate with the host. The phone numbers provided didn’t work and they were a bit slow to respond through messages here on booking. In the summer, it is extremely hot as one can imagine - there was no air conditioning in this apartment & no screens on the windows which was tricky because there a lot of lizards, stag beetles & other critters we didn’t want to invite inside! The only other major complaint was parking. There is no free parking close by even though that was advertised. We had to pay everyday to park which averaged to 12-14 euros a day.

The location of Il Cassello was incredible, with a beautiful panoramic view. It was very clean and extremely well kept! Nice & classic style apartment.
