Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHaving a shared key to the outside door to the building meant that we had to rely on other guests remembering to put it back in the letterbox and on a couple of occasions it was missing. When this did happen, however, the situation was quickly resolved by our host. It was not very clear where to put differentiated rubbish in the shared kitchen.
The room was spotlessly clean and modern and bed linen and towels were replaced every 4 days, as well as bottled water and toiletries. Communication from the host was very good and we were informed in advance about the cleaning lady's visits. Good central location. Free breakfast tokens were an added bonus. There was a good powerful shower in the bathroom.

MaltaOn entrance we had 40 steps going up. No lift. We never met anyone inside not even the staff. Never had a key except on my telecell. Allways had to make a call to open the door for us. At one time battery went dead, couldn't nock, call or open.
Every thing was nice and clean

United KingdomOn the first floor the rooms are very hot and the AC didn’t work very well (even though the technicians came to fix it). I couldn’t stay my second night at all. The pillows were also quite uncomfortable and there were at least 8 small lights on in the room at night. When I complained, the host said she expected the complaint and had done all she could. You don’t actually meet the host- it’s all self check in via WhatsApp. Not great for solo travellers as the street is quite dark and they leave the key out in the letterbox in the street. So not impressed at €80 a night but might be nice in winter.
A nice location. Very modern and clean furnishing. Everything you might need with self catering facilities if you want them. Easy self check in. Very responsive host via WhatsApp

AustraliaIt was tiny, though it did have lots of storage and the ensuite was good. There wasn’t much space to walk around the bed to the bathroom. The large desk in the room was unnecessary. Make more room for people to move. You could not move luggage passed the bed without lifting it over the bed. The TV didn’t work and when I mentioned it the host mentioned something about the city having had a 5G upgrade that week and that it had affected the tv reception. Conveniently because of the Easter holidays a technician couldn’t come and repair it until the Tuesday (the day I was checking out). She apologised and offered me a discount on my next stay. As if that was ever going to happen!!! The communal kitchen was dirty and the coffee machine had not been emptied of its used pods the whole time that I was there. When I went to remove/clean it all this dirty water came out from under the coffee machine. The under cupboard bin in the communal kitchen was overflowing and was not emptied once during my 4 night stay!!! I accidentally left my Fitbit charger and power point adapter behind in the room. I immediately contacted the host who said that the cleaner wasn’t going that day, but the next day as no one was staying in that room that night. She would let me know if the cleaner found anything and apparently nothing was found! Odd! To be fair, the host did communicate well, but didn’t offer any suitable assistance. Very overpriced, I guess because it was Easter and a last minute booking. I went from a 150m2, 4 bedroom apartment which cost €260 for 4 night and ended up in this 15m2 room for 4 nights for €256. Seems outrageous. No value for money.
That I was able to find a last minute property when my plans changed suddenly on Good Friday.
