How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Verified reviewI have stayed in a lot of hotels and met some wonderful people but the host Andrea, has got to be the nicest, most helpful person I have ever stayed with. Even thought it was quite late when we checked in, and we spoke no Italian, he could not do more for us, finding us bus times and drawing us maps. He helped us save over 100 Euros by finding us cheaper transport. (if you want to go to Gardaland from the hotel there is an airport bus for 7 euros every hour). Even next day he was sending us hand drawn maps so we wouldn't miss our bus stop. The hotel was a lovely traditional building and location was perfect to walk to and from the airport. We had a triple room, very clean and spacious.. Lots of breakfast choices, loved the pear fruit juice. It was excellent value, but what made it was the host. Andrea I hope you're reading this, we are so so grateful.
This is not the hotels fault in any way, but if you are walking there from the airport in the dark, its quite hard to find your way out of the airport (i think they are doing some road works). Just keep to the right and follow along the buildings.

A bit dated, but it added to rustic character. Obviously near to the airport which meant it wasn't near anything, but fine for an overnight. What we expected. No drink making facilities.

Verified reviewLocation was nice. Walkable to the airport but I still chose to request a shuttle for 10 euros since I needed to be there at 5 AM. I was solo traveling and felt safe here! When I checked in, they were kind to give me a bag with snacks and a juice box for my breakfast :) I recommend staying here. May be outdated but cleanliness is the most important to me! Everything was clean and bed was very comfortable.

When I arrived, nobody was there even though I had asked to arrive a little early and it was confirmed that that would be okay .Needed an airing. Difficult to get to from train station, no taxi so I had to walk and partially the road was only meant for cars. Transfer to airport available but Drop off at airport was around the back and as it was raining heavily I got very wet before I got into the airport. It would’ve been easy to drop me at the front entrance I think🤢.

However, I would like to point out that on the day of your arrival I was present at the facility from 5:00 pm (usually opening is scheduled for 6:00 pm). You arrived around 5:30 pm, while at that moment I was accompanying a family to the bus stop for a short journey. Upon my return, just a couple of minutes after your arrival, I promptly checked in. We apologize for the perceived inconvenience, even if the situation was due to a temporary and unfortunate coincidence. Regarding the transfer, I would like to remind you that we offer a private paid service, available upon reservation. Since there was no request from you, I thought it was convenient for you to offer myself for your transfer and I accompanied you to the pedestrian entrance which is near the departures terminal, while the main entrance is near the arrivals terminal. I am sincerely sorry for the inconveniences related to transportation and bad weather, but you cannot blame me for not having an umbrella. There was not a towel in the room

The host waited for me, communication was easy over WUp. People in general who work here are exceptionally friendly and made a lot so that I could enjoy my stay. Special thanks for keeping my things for me. The place is 15 minutes walk from the airport.
