Room for improvement: We felt some of the customer communication was a bit condescending/didn’t match the overall positioning of the property, such as notes warning guests they’ll be charged for taking home complimentary products (meaning, simple body shower gel/lotion!) or for changing pool towels… Just minor rules or warnings that misalign with premium hospitality, meant for more mature audience.

Absolute perfect place to disconnect. The garden/pool area is a dream, and it’s located far away enough from the big city that you can enjoy the countryside but close enough that you’re 25-45min away from the most charming Umbrian towns. We’d like to share our kindest regards with Mika, the restaurant Manager, the Chef and the cleaning staff. They all seemed to work tirelessly throughout our stay, with nothing but warm smiles and beautiful service.

The beds were pretty uncomfortable and the AC didn’t function very well. For the price, it felt like the experience should have been a bit better.

The staff are sometimes hard to find, however makes it feel like you’ve got the whole mansion to yourself at times. It is hard to get to without a car, but they can help with private transfer ($$$)

It was a beautiful way to unwind and relax, with everything you could need. I felt very calm after being here.

We would have like to have a kettle with tea & coffee in the room as well as an iron. As the property is quite isolated there is a shortage of other venues to eat, particularly as the villa kitchen is closed on a Tuesday night, so a booklet with details of other venues and places of interest, local markets etc. would have been very helpful.

We loved the old world ambiance of the property, the location was lovely, the view was stunning. We had a car so no problem with visiting other places of interest as the property is quite isolated which is what we were looking for. The pool and the gardens were relaxing to sit, read a book and look at the view. We had a sitting room with our bedroom which was a lovely area to sit. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Breakfast was just perfect with a nice amount of choice without being too much. We had dinner there for 2 nights which also was beautifully cooked, but maybe just a bit too much food as it's a set menu.

A perfect stay. We had 4 nights booked and added a fifth because we loved the property so much. Beautiful views, comfortable beds, gracious staff, excellent meals and meal service. Breakfasts were a good variety of items. Dinners were beautifully prepared and presented on the dining terrace. The grounds and views are expansive and beautiful. We enjoyed wine tour and tasting that was engaging and fun. Originally booked the dependence but switched to the junior suite when we saw it—a beautifully decorated room.

Our holidays at La Ghirlanda were amazing. It is such a beatiful, peaceful place that has everything you need if you want to relax. We really enjoyed dinners, the food was always delicious. If you are a wine lover, this place is definetely for you because Montefalco Sagrantino from their winery is fabulous. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and really clean. I hope someday we will come back!

Wish we could have stayed longer.

La Ghirlanda is a beautiful property! The food is lovely and we really enjoyed the wines. The employees were most welcoming and paid close attention to details that made our trip exceptional. The surrounding area is beautiful. We will always remember the beautiful sunsets by the pool.

The only thing missing was a small fridge in the room.

Great location, nice pool, nice room, comfortable beds, stunning views, delicious food and breakfast. Nice wines and olive oil. Very friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely wonderful!

The pool could use a little attention - the steps feel very rickety and there is not much shade available. There were also a few extra charges for things that one would expect as part of the service like replacing pool towels etc. The aircon in the rooms isn't super powerful so it was quite hot at times but to be expected in Italy in August!

The setting is wonderful and it is a beautiful old house with lovely views all around. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food served was delicious - the best parmigiana I've ever tried! It is a very peaceful, relaxing place - we didn't do any of the experiences offered but they did look fantastic.

Amazing views on the hills and the vineyards. Beautiful sunsets that I will never forget. Breakfast was good, room was very beautiful and quiet (aside from some faint music coming from downstairs). Dinner was great, food and wine of excellent quality, although the waiting times between each dish were too long. If you can drive around the property you will enjoy some beautiful landscapes, especially at sunset.

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious with many options. The pool was lovely and had a great view of the countryside. We ate dinner twice at the restaurant and loved it. We did the wine tasting and loved the selections of wines.
