Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsWifi was not very fast. Restaurants not so nearby, the nearest had also not the best food, better to drive a little bit further for good quality restaurants. (we didn't try their own restaurant because of limited days that they are open)
Swimming pool was stunning. Love the hotelroom, staff was very friendly, surroundings very beautiful. Very nice that there is the possibility for wine, cheese and cured meats platters as lunch or snack in the evening. There is a possibility to charge your electric car.

I like the location and atmosphere so much. It’s on the top of the hill with the amazing Toscana view. All the local products as wine, honey and olive oil are perfect. 100% merlo of 2018 is highly recommended.

It was a wonderful place to stay, not far from Padua, a special place, with a rich and wonderful breakfast. The whole place is carefully and tastefully decorated, well-kept and inviting. We were given 2 comfortable, beautifully decorated rooms. We tasted excellent wines. Such a perfect vacation.

CanadaThat was amazing. Just amazing. Everything. We arrived there starving and exhausted, after a long flight and before check-in time. We were greeted so very warmly, " Do not worry. Take a seat. We'll bring you something to eat." We sat on the portico, under arches, surrounded by olive trees with a breathtaking view on the valley and the mountains, and we were offered a lavish (yes, it was indeed) spread of cheeses, prosciutto, olives, sundried tomatoes, fresh bread, accompanied by a choice of their own wines. Le Volpi was fully booked, we were lucky to get that one night, but next to us there was a couple from Germany, who drove there from home and came for two weeks on vacation. I was really envious. Everyone we met seemed so happy, people would smile and talk to each other - I think the place inspires. The breakfast was delicious, with so many choices I could not try all of it. The meats and cheesed, their own jams, the fruit (grapes!!! You've got to try the grapes!!!). The cappuccinos were the best cappuccinos in Italy I had. Still jet lagged, I woke up early and walked outside. You know that smell, in the crispy summer air, coming from the kitchen, of the morning coffee and fresh bread? I took a cappuccino and at 6:50 am went outside to see the sunrise. You are standing on top, with the Earth under you, with the morning blue and green hues mixing, the vineyards running down the heel and the light slowly rising from behind the mountain. Well... doesn't get much better that that. Two wild goats ran across the valley (actually, I thought it was deer, but was later told it was "caprette"). And then, I saw a family a wild boars trott across the vinyards!!! Is that good enough? Need to say no more? On our way out, the Waze took us on the road going on top of the main building to the right. We went almost all the way to Verona escaping the highway, through the vinyards and the hills, by curving wooden fences, Cypress trees, hilltops, etc.

EstoniaEverything was really good. The only problem is that the place can virtually be reachable only by car, and driving on the hills is quite scary.
The staff was very nice. There is an amazing view from the farmstay. The food and the wine were amazing. The location in general is extremely well kept.

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like, all was great. Would be 11/10 if there had been the option of an evening meal to save heading out in the car. There are nibbles available at the property but would definitely have taken up the option for a set evening meal if there had been one.
Everything! Fantastic location perched up in the hills surrounded by vineyards and olive trees - peaceful but still within 5-10 mins of multiple good local restaurants Great pool, really clean, nice temperature and superb views Nice breakfast with good spread and proper croissants Spacious rooms, comfortable with good air conditioning Helpful and accommodating staff Loved being able to buy a bottle of the property’s own wine and an ice bucket to then chill in the early evening sun and take in the scenery

AustriaVery minor issue that did not bother us, but since everything else was perfect, I must report that there was some noise from the corridor due to ventilation. Nothing that could disturb our sleep anyway.

BulgariaThere are no nets on the windows so if it’s hot and you want to let some air in could lead to granting access for some bugs. Most of them are not a problem but for me mosquitoes are really annoying. There is no restaurant on a walking distance so you need to go for dinner by car or a bike (the road is pretty dark so riding a bike during the night could be an adventure). So at least one person from the group should choose between enjoying the wonderful wines they offer and having a proper dinner. The platers could be a replacement though.
The property is located on a scenic hill above couple of small villages. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect. There is a wine shop where you can buy by the glass or a whole bottle. They have some snacks and nice platers with cold cuts and cheese. You can easily drink two bottles of wine with one platter (tested this personally for two persons). The hosts are very friendly and helpful for everything and really helped to make our stay great. The pool area is simply amazing. The view is one of a kind and you can have a great time there. The place offers only these platers so the dinner could be a problem. Este town is few kilometers away by car and over there you can find everything you need (restaurants for dinner, aperitivo, shops, etc). The surrounding villages also offer some restaurants.

Australia- They should leave water bottles available in the fridge. - Leaving the aircon on in the corridors for the whole day and night is not exactly ecofriendly 🥲 - Be more careful with the spiderwebs in the rooms 😉.
The property is surrounded by an amazing scenery; it has an infinity pool which extremely important during hot days as this area can get really warm in summer. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room are spacious and some has also a kitchenette.
