How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe room was a bit small, but it was very clean and well-maintained, with sheets changed and the room tidied almost every day. Breakfast in the morning was good, although because you are in the middle of nature, there are quite a few bees around during breakfast time. The pool was nice and big enough, but the pool bar was always closed. The restaurant only opens in the evening, but their house wine is fantastic and highly recommended. The property itself is beautiful, with two horses and a pony roaming freely. They are very friendly and add a lovely touch to the atmosphere. We traveled with our two dogs and paid extra for them, which was no problem.
The main issue we encountered was one night when we returned late, around 10:30 PM. In the parking lot, we were suddenly surrounded by a pack of about five stray dogs. They were extremely aggressive—growling, circling us, and trying to bite our dogs from our hands. It was terrifying as these dogs are quite big. Thankfully, we managed to get inside safely but they followed us all the way to our room. When I told the owner, he said he had reported the stray dogs to the authorities several times but no action was taken. He also said that he never received any complaints similar to ours. This seems to happen when the dogs group together, not when they are alone. So, if you plan to bring pets or return late at night, please be very cautious.

Verified reviewThe property is in a beautiful location with a lovely pool area. We were allowed to use the pool for an extra hour after check out which was a nice gesture. We enjoyed seeing the animals around the property and for the children to have space to run and play. The restaurant has great food and the wait staff were excellent.
The upkeep of the accommodation is not great. The rooms are dated, the furniture is falling apart, and the room was not cleaned properly before our stay, nor was it cleaned at all during our stay. If only the rooms were updated and cleaned properly, the place would be amazing.

Verified reviewWe rented a quadruple room. Room was big enough to add two baby cots. Room was sound proofed, clean, mattresses comfortable enough. Pool area was fantastic offering shade under trees and was never over populated. The estate is large and spacious having many areas/green spaces/courtyards where the kids can play. It was always very peaceful and never crowded. They also have a stable with horses which you can pet, cats, dogs and chickens which the kids loved. Restaurant food quality, breakfast and dinner, is very good. Staff were very accommodating with setting up space at the table for our twin toddlers.
Restaurant opens at 7pm so if you're looking for lunch, you will need to make other arrangements. Restaurant portions are a bit on the small side for the price but overall still a very positive experience and definitely recommend.

Verified reviewThe staff were very nice and the pool was large.
The room was very small and had to go out of it in order to connect with the Wi-Fi. Even the mobile data didn’t work within the room. Unfortunately, we also had ants in our room.

Verified reviewThe facilities were really beautiful and well kept. Rooms very stylish, not fancy at all, but clean and comfortable. We could relax to the max thanks to the amazing surroundings as well as professional and friendly staff. Breakfast was amazing - fresh tarts and pastries, eggs, bruschettas (3 types), two types of cheese (fresh ricotta 😍!!!), selection of ham, milk, yogurt and oatmeal variation for kids, fresh watermelon and melon etc. Perfect coffee was available too! Easy to get there by car, you can reach the closest beach in 10 minutes. Horses, cats and dogs made it even more special for our girls.
Nothing to mention

Verified reviewThe outer fields were well kept, clean and there were nice views. The rooms were comfortable but the furniture is quite old, however, it is advertised as a rustic hotel. The pool was a nice activity to do especially on a hot day. The breakfast was fair but not much variety, most of the things were already marinated with oregano and olive oil so it would be nice to have plane eggs and plane bread.
We stayed in three rooms. In one room, there were many bugs like centipede, crickets and a cockroach. In the other room, the toilet was broken. And in the third room; there was noise coming from the ceiling which could mean bats or rats and I didn’t see any bats flying around. Another thing is punctuality upon check in. We arrived before three, the reception opened at 3 pm but the staff arrived at 3:30 and he didn’t apologise. The rooms were not cleaned at all the three nights we were there; they just go to the room and ask you if you need toilet paper and there is not many staff after 11am. So if you need anything, there is no one to help you.
Dear Madam, thank you for your review. Those things marinated with oil, in Sicily are called bruschette, with our extra virgin olive oil and organic cherry tomatoes grown by us, which we aim to make known to international guests like you and much appreciated. For Anglo-Saxon palates like yours, we prepare daily pan-fried eggs, from our free-range hens. Ours is not a hotel and we do not pretend to be one, it is a farm. Our products are absolutely organic so we do not use poisons, insecticides or pesticides, therefore it could happen to come across some insects, outside or sometimes inside the room. We are in the countryside. Regarding cleaning, let's draw a veil over it, I have the photos that the cleaning staff sent me of the state of your rooms, which for privacy and respect I do not want to show. In some it looked like a bomb had exploded, with clothes and personal objects scattered everywhere that we absolutely cannot touch or move. The reception as you stated opened on time, if when you arrived you didn't find the staff it's simply because they were checking in other guests who had arrived before you. However, you didn't mention the free ironing service for the whole family on the occasion of the wedding, surely you missed it, it happens. Thanks anyway and many beautiful things PS that noise you heard on the roofs are the birds nesting
