We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere are really no cons but we learned a few lessons: To arrive to this secluded retreat is a bit of a driving challenge. Google maps seems to have a sense of humor! There are multiple winding roads to drive and some narrow lanes. I recommend you stick to major roads as much as possible if you don’t like to have to reverse directions when Google brings you your a cattle gate and says proceed!!!!But overall the roads very manageable. Obviously this is not a negative for the property. The closest restaurants are a 25 to 40 minute drive. We didn’t want to traverse the roads after dark so we went to eat early. Choices were limited. There are some fabulous places to eat but some were closed on Monday and others opened at 8Pm or later. We did find a cafe and had panini’s and chips. The next trip we will be better prepared and bring some items with us. Again this is not a problem of the facility. Just be informed and be prepared.
Traveling with my family. I booked the single bedroom with the shared bath. My mom stayed in the double room with the two beds and my cousins shared the double room with in suite bath. It’s a beautiful and tranquil bee farm with a casual petting area and a perfect get away for relaxing. The drive in from the north was stunning. The mountains are impressive and forest full of surprises from hawks to foxes. The house is isolated from the outside world. The nighttime silence was memorable. The facility is an educational experience and also an ideal place to unplug and recharge your mind and body. Don’t hesitate book it and enjoy.

United StatesThe only slightly negative is the distance to food. The closest restaurants are 25 to 30 minutes away. BUT It’s also a plus — as this tells you of the secluded nature of the facility. My suggestion, if you don’t want to drive the winding roads at night, is to pack some items as there is a snack size refrigerator in the sleeping unit along with a table and chairs for eating or playing cards. Really if you are prepared this is not truly a negative.
This family run, special place is 75% self sustaining. With Solar and water collection systems etc. It’s a must experience for families especially with children. There is a resident donkey named Nestor and sheep, chickens and dogs and cats. But most importantly the family running it are genuine and caring. To top off everything, it’s is a thriving Bee farm. Don’t be concerned the Bees are a ways away from the residence where you will stay in fantastic accommodations. It’s a 3 bedroom structure with a double room with on suite bath, a twin room and then a double room with two twin beds. The second two rooms share a lovely bath. Both baths have showers. The double room also has a crib for babies! They have thought of everything!!!! We traveled as 4 adults and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will return to this tranquil paradise. They are educating the public on the importance of self sufficiency and caring for our planet home. Reserve the homemade breakfast consisting of their products in advance. You won’t be disappointed. Purchase their honey and homemade candles. Price for the stay and their items are very economical for what you receive. They understand the true meaning of hospitality. We felt like family! Next visit we will also explore their other business dedicated to relaxing and improving your health.
