How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI cannot not speak highly enough about this hotel. Position is literally next to ski lift, warm locker room for boots and skis, extremely clean with daily room servicing. Shower for me was the highlight - huge by italian standards with super hot powerful water jets. Breakfast had everything you could wish for including savoury. It is s family run hotel and they take immense pride and care to ensure their visitors feel welcome. Can highly recommend this hotel on every level.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel, perfectly located right next to the ski slopes. The room was simple but very clean and provided everything our family of foot needed. The owners were really kind and always ready to help with anything we needed.

Verified reviewThe owners are super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed great pies for breakfast and hot chocolate after skiing. Super helpful owners, nice and clean rooms. Our children said it was the best hotel they stayed in.
The location of the hotel is a bit far from the main skiing area and it is a bit difficult to get back from skiing especially when some slopes are closed.
Thank you for your kind and excellent review. I am only replying to you because your criticism is not understandable, we are on the ski slopes, the first chairlift is 50 metres away and you can walk or ski directly from our ski room. We look forward to your next ski trip, best regards. Hotel Foiron

Verified reviewThis was a short ski trip. The location was fantastic, right beside one of the chair lifts and with views of the beautiful mountains. Simon and Fabrizio were incredibly helpful throughout the stay. The breakfast was great with some really lovely home cooked cakes. We would definitely return. Thank you to Simon and Fabrizio for the lovely stay in their hotel.

Verified reviewThe family running this hotel is extraordinary helpful and nice. You truly feel at home with fresh baked cakes and a pleasant conversation. The proximity to the slopes is also a massive advantage - you go through the back door and down to the lift which is about 30m from the back door We had a few issues with the ski pass and skis, they helped us out every time. Even took their time to walk with us to tourism information to sort out our ski pass confusion as tourism information staff were not very fluent in English. Cannot recommend the place enough
The neighbours on our floor but that has nothing to do with the hotel or staff. Some people just have different attitude to mountain holiday. The staff did everything to make everyone happy

Verified reviewEverything! Staff was wonderful. Fabrizio and his brother are very helpful and kind. Breakfast was tasty. Fresh Croissants every morning, different cakes, cold cuts, cornflakes, orange juice, coffee/tea. If there were a bit of eggs too, could be great :) Skiingwise, nice location, 5 min drive from Montgenevre with beautiful slopes. Or you may buy ski pass for the whole Italian valley with Sestiere, Sauze d’Oulx and many others in it. The nearest ski-lift is by the hotel, literally 1 min walk from your room, from which you can get anywhere you want.

Verified reviewThe family running the hotel are exceptionally helpful and Simone is a very good ski instructor. The room is simple but clean, comfortable and in good condition with an excellent shower and lovely views. The hotel is relatively newly built/refurbished. Breakfast is basic but fresh and wholesome. Cake and tea/coffee is available in the afternoon.
The hotel does not offer evening meals. This is not a problem because there are good and affordable restaurants nearby but something of which to be aware.

Verified reviewThis family-run B&B experience was way better than we anticipated. Parking was convenient right on the main street in front of the building. The rooms have been recently renovated and include comfortable mattresses, solid wood furniture, a desk, and extremely hot water in the shower. We had (303) located on the lower floor which included a patio door out to the terrace where we could sunbathe, meditate on the mountain, and take our breakfast and afternoon tea. The owners, Fabrizio & Simon take care of the day-to-day including a complimentary breakfast of coffee and some incredibly tasty cakes and tarts prepared by their mother. There is also a selection of nice cheeses, juices, and cereals to enjoy if you need less sugar first thing in the morning. We extended our stay a couple extra nights awaiting a parcel and stayed in their father's property two doors down with the same view and exceptional familial hospitality. They even extended the check-out for us our last day. We really enjoyed our time here and the warm welcome we received from the host family.
The property is non-smoking but several of the guests smoke outside on the terrace which can be intrusive if you want to keep the windows open.

Verified reviewRooms were large enough, very clean, great view onto the pistes and with good wifi. The people managing the place are a lovely friendly and welcoming family and are always at hand to offer help and advice. Bathrooms were good-sized, very clean and with powerful hot showers. Breakfast was also good and varied with home made cakes available, and a coffee pod machine at hand. The Cloche chair lift is right under the hotel, so it's practically ski in-ski-out. Hotel has parking spaces reserved for clients right outside
One of the rooms given to our group was on in a separate annex and accessed only from outside, and the guys in it complained that the wifi was practically inexistent
