Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsDuring our two-night stay at Agriturismo Alba del Borgo, we found a fantastic location to disconnect from the city noise. The silence was healing, interrupted only by the sound of frogs. It was the ideal place for an outing with my partner. The staff was friendly and attentive. Being an international couple, Italian and Dutch, I greatly appreciated that they quietly alternated between Italian and English. We received a room upgrade from our reservation, with access to the spa. The spa was well-maintained and not at all crowded. The owner guided us with specific directions, making the experience even more enjoyable. There is also a restaurant on the property with a really good traditional menu, using products they produce. We indulged in a bottle of wine recommended by them specifically, and I found the “giardiniera” and the “Chicche della Nonna” excellent. We asked for water for the night, strictly in a glass bottle courtesy of the establishment. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend it!

United KingdomRoom terrace had two small hard chairs. No drawers or bedside tables in bedroom. Pool only available after 3 and then only after checking in with owner. Limited choice of food. Buffet breakfast was served by the owner so portions were controlled. Despite checking that residents could eat in every night it was apparent on arrival that dinner was served at the time it fitted in with the owners busy life and not available at all if it suited him. On our last day we were told in the morning the restaurant was closed. The owner made little effort to find us somewhere to eat and eventually recommended two restaurants that were closed. It was difficult to find somewhere open on a Wednesday nearby and eventually we drove for half an hour to eat. On arrival back at the farm at 1030 everything was in darkness and we had to use our phone torch to find our way back to our room - rather unfriendly. Although the host was friendly enough we felt we had to fit in with his bust lives fe rather than the other way round.
Great location near to lots of attractions and peaceful setting. Very modern and clean. Comfortable bed. Hearty farm food. Great spa with indoor pool and small sauna and steam room.

United StatesBreakfast was perfect and the owner and his parents were attentive and friendly, and their food was wonderful., and mostly local with salads, vegetables and fruit from their garden. The spa and pool were superb and hard to leave. We would love to go back and spend more time here

SwitzerlandThe owner tried to make us check out at 9 because he had private appointments, we felt zero welcomed. On top of it, during dinner he “suggested” we would take the smaller appetizer, and then charged it twice, claiming it was per person (of course this was not written on the menu). 24 euros of appetizers for a fried torta, 50 grams of prosciutto and some pickles. Full of cameras, zero privacy. The owner is over controlling. He has to show you around, tell about the rules. He decided what time we would eat at night. He even doesn’t allow us to serve our own breakfast. Conclusion, we felt totally unwelcomed and overcharged. Please avoid it, there are way better places for this value

United StatesRoom was advertised as “air conditioned” but the owner refused to put it below 25 C (77 F) and tried to claim that was the law in Italy, which it is not. He got rather surly when we called him on it and still refused to turn it down. Said we could leave if we didn’t like it, which is hard/impossible to do at the last minute in a rural area in a foreign country. Pool was only open after 3 pm even though there was no life guard on duty. You couldn’t help yourself at the breakfast buffet - owner put portions on your plate and you had to go back to ask for more. We were offered bottled water for the room but not told we would be charged 2 euros extra for it. (Everywhere else we stayed provided complimentary water.) Since the breakfast didn’t open until 8:30 and the rooms had no coffee makers, we asked for cups of coffee to take to our room for the morning. We were willing to drink cold coffee with no problem. But again we weren’t told we would be charged for it, yet the final bill was for 3 euros per cup! Rooms were bright and clean and nice decor, but lacking amenities: no fridge, no ice, no coffee maker, no drawers, no end tables. Room was advertised as having a “lake view” but it was only a very small utility pond. And the owner was just not welcoming. Truly disappointing, as this place has the potential to be one of the best in the entire country.
Scenery and buildings were like out of a fairy tale, gorgeous and well maintained. Owner did a great job on the remodel. Food was absolutely delicious, though there were no hot options for breakfast. Small gym was nice.
