How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Air conditioner was weak. About an hour after I arrived, there was a knock at my door. I was informed that the room I was in hadn’t been cleaned and changed!!! (I hadn’t noticed because the previous person left it quite well.) So they had to clean it while I was there, which was awkward.
The lady at check-in was very nice. Small but comfy room with everything I needed. The location was pretty quiet! I felt safe as a solo female traveler here. Good breakfast.

All was fine.
Well-located, clean and fairly modern furnished. Good option for the price. The manager made an effort to make the breakfast earlier so that we could grab something before departure.

The room was fine but had a “spicy” smell.
The hotel was right in the centre and also close to the rail/bus station. Breakfast was very good.

The entrance area in front of the hotel could be a little nicer and cleaner.
The staff were very friendly, and the receptionist even spoke German. The room was large and modern (but not very cozy). The bathroom and shower were very modern. The location is great. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but I received a discount voucher for a very good restaurant next door.

Both mornings people standing waiting for an available table to have breakfast in the very cramped & uninviting breakfast room. Shared a table with others. Paid for a Junior Suite so that we could use the bath but the water was turned off to the bath. They said it was "Still" out of order.
Quiet room. Air conditioning.

I was single in a double room which was fine, but might be a bit dense for a couple. At evening time there was some noise from a near by restaurant (it was Saturday evening) that lasted until around 22:30.
Located at city center, nice streets around and near by restaurants. The room was good and nice bathroom. Breakfast was fine.

Posting isn't clear about the washing machine - i interpreted the listing as the room having a washing machine. The property itself has a washing machine and a dryer, which you can use for 15 euro. When questioning the staff about this, he wasn't very helpful and suggested I was the only person who had made the mistake of thinking there was a washing machine in the unit...
Breakfast was ample and plentiful- eggs, baked goods, yoghurt, cheese, meat, coffee. Room was small but comfortable. Bathroom was practical. Seemingly recently renovated? Good location. Staff were helpful with printing and helping with dhl/ FedEx regarding our luggage as we had our luggage sent here while we hiked!

They failed to mention that there was a renovation going on in our floor and we had to go our room through a construction site. Not very nice.

Unfriendly, unhelpful brusque male reception man Difficult limited parking. Had to leave car key with reception. Restaurant not open on day of arrival & bar was shut.

The price represented value for money with breakfast included. It was ideally located being in the old town and a few minutes away from the train station. It was a pleasant room with decorative features and tea and coffee making facilities.
